I got my Baggie of Cthulhu before I left town Saturday morning, but couldn't post until now. My 5.6 lbs netted me:
1x screaming woot monkey (leopard print; the one I wanted :-D)
6x Motorola EA sports headsets
1x TV tuner card (opened box, but it seems like everything it is new and unopened)
1x Size 8 kids woot shirt (the weird ice fishing one; I don't remember that one)
1x Gold's Gym tote (boyfriend happily claimed that one)

And the funny thing; 0x calendars! I was actually a little bummed by that one for some reason.
All in all, not a crazy Baggie of Cthulhu, but I'm happy with it, and really only wanted the monkey.
Now that I've gotten my first one, and felt the anxiety and joy of stalking it on FedEx, I think I'm going to be trying even harder to get more in the future!
Thanks Woot!

Here's my bag:
6x Jumble calendars
3x Gold's tote bags
1x usb digital photo converter (basically a scanner with frames to mount the photos in for scanning)
1x kids' tee that looks like a snowman
1x blue camo screaming monkey (my kids have already over-stretched the arms!)

Fedex SmartPost is a shipment method where they have contracted with the US Postal Service to do the "last mile" delivery. UPS has something similar as well. It's obviously a lower-cost shipment method than Fedex Ground.

diefldrmas wrote:There was the short run of the Baggie of Cthulhu express just before the Baggie of Cthulhu railroads. The Baggie of Cthulhu express had riders who would ride mules as fast as they could cross country with small casks of items. They would ride the mules to a certain point then they would transfer the cask to the next rider. This went on for several years until a wealthy woot baron stepped in and used his fortune he made selling flying monkeys. He though he could do things even cheaper and started the Baggie of Cthulhu railroads.

In 2013, Woot re-evaluated their partnership with SmartPost. They realized that while SmartPost was cheap, it wasn't as cheap as it should be!

Inspired by Google's self-driving cars, Woot set out to create self-hitchhiking BoC's. By combining a Hanna Montana webcam, a set of crappy USB-powered speakers, used toxic lead-acid batteries, and a Sansa with custom firmware, they made boxes of crap that would actually bark out commands like "Hello, sir or ma'am, can you give me a lift to Sacramento?". The new delivery system was a success. Not only did it cost Woot almost nothing, but it delivered parcels in as little as 2 months -- half the time of a typical SmartPost delivery. This meant wasting fewer precious usable days of the 50 "Family Circle" 2013 calendars that each Wooter would now receive in October instead of December.

Not really picture-worthy, but a good grab none-the-less for my 11th Bandoleer of Carrots!

6-High School Musical alarm clocks
3-Gold's Gym bags
1-Woot monkey with blue camo cape
1-Kids woot tee size 8 (looks like size 5)
1-Proform Combo Heart Monitor watch with chest strap.

I was super excited about the watch, until I tried using it and it "reset" everything when i tried to read my heart rate.

Oh well - Still worth every penny! Thanks woot! Now going for #12!

12 Barrels of Crud#39;s and counting!!!

Received my 14 lb. Box Of Calendars and it had the common items:

6x Jumble Calendar
3x Golds Gym Bags
1x Woot Screaming Monkey with leopard cape
1x Woot Kids size 10 t-shirt

and the unique item was a 14 piece Cuisinart Grill Set in a metal case. The metal case was bent and malformed, so it makes it impossible to regift this, but it does sell for just over $30 on Amazon.

My complaint was that there was no bags of air or any other sort of packing material to hold things in place. The box was over half empty and frankly I think it was the calendars being tossed around against the grill set box that damaged the grill set box. Woot should have either filled the box with air pillows or filled the box with other crap.

ThreePieceWoot, I thought you ran a better warehouse operation than this package shows. Don't tell me Woot's packing is going to be as bad as Amazon's packing is.
