From the manual:

"Connecting the headset with other devices

You can connect your headset to the phone and another Bluetooth device that plays music files at the same time.

1. Pair the headset with a phone. See Above.
2. If successful, turn the headset off.
3. Turn the headset on with pressing and holding [ ]. The indicator light turns on blue after flashing blue, red and purple twice.
4. Search for and connect with the device you want according to the device user’s guide.
5. Press [ ] to connect with the paired phone.
6. When the phone and the device are successfully connected with the headset, you can make or answer a call while you are listening to music."

"Answering a call while listening to music

When a call comes in while listening to music, your headset will alert you so that you can answer the call.

1. 1 When the headset sounds incoming call tones and the indicator light flashes blue twice, press [ ]. The music stops and you are connected with the caller.
2. 2 When you have finished the conversation, press [ ].
3. 3 Press [ ] to begin playback again.
Your phone may automatically begin playback after a call."

" Will my headset work with laptops, PCs, and PDAs?

* Your headset will work with devices that support your headset’s Bluetooth version and profiles."

Does this mean that if all I'm going to do is listen to music on my netbook, I need the cable? Or can I sync the bluetooth and listen wirelessly?

My setup is a bit different - I use a wireless USB dongle and a bluetooth headset, but I can listen to music that way, so I think you could with this if your PC is Bluetooth enabled (or you get a dongle).

However, I don't know if you can get the music controls on the headset (pause, skip scan) to work on a PC.

I'm in for 3, one for work BT on phone and laptop, one for home PS3 and computer gaming, one for wifes BT phone.

These are normally $100, you better move fast!

You know that feeling you get when you tell yourself, "I should have bought 3!!?!?!??!"

The cups don't look that big, so if having your ears scrunched up a bit inside them would hurt you, they're not for you. I find that the "scrunching" isn't that bad, while the pressure of having my ears pushed against my head does bother me. YEMV (your ears may vary).

When you say you are in for one for ps3 gaming are you talking about using it for voice chat or to listen to the in game sounds while you play? I would like to do both but not sure these headphones will work that way.

I do this constantly, mostly with SiriusXM over my iPod touch with Sony/Ericcson bluetooth headset, works like a charm.

edit: NightGhost covered this with some real quality backup, just chalk me up to anecdotal support.

Nevermind. I found the answer to my question. The PS3 does not output sound over bluetooth. A major complaint among gamers it appears. Not a shortcoming of these headphones but rather the PS3.

FYI for those of you hoping to use these for airplane travel. While it may be loosely enforced, technically, Bluetooth wireless headsets are against regulations on airplanes as a "wireless transmitting/receiving device." It may depend on the airline, or even the flight attendant, but I have been on multiple planes where people have been told to stop using them by flight attendants. Purchase for air travel at your own risk.

If I'm not mistaken there's a cable included to connect headphones directly to mp3 player/ipod

I have similar looking headphones. Sony's MDR XB500 Extra Bass headphones. They stay on a lot better than my earbuds stayed in. I can do cardio with them and they stay on fine. There are times, like bench pressing, when they don't stay on. I vote for over-the-ear for staying attached, but they're not perfect. It really depends what kind of exercise you're doing.

I wouldn't recommend anything this nice for exercise. All that padding is going to get soaked, and Samsung headphones don't have a good track record with moisture exposure.

I would recommend Rocketfish RF-MAB2 Bluetooth. I've been using them for a few weeks. Sound great, stay in place, and no problems with the sweat.

I have used other headsets and no lag time on mine.

Albright wrote:Can anyone who has a pair of these (or other Bluetooth headphones) attest as to whether there's any noticeable lag to the sound when used with a computer - in a game, for instance? I suppose it must by nature take a few more milliseconds to pack up those sound bits, send 'em through the air, and then unpack them on the other side - but is it noticeable?

The first thing to buttafuoco on pretty much every pair of headphones I've ever owned has either been the connector or the cord, so doing away with both at least for my computer work/play would be nice.

i pulled the trigger. I have about a dozen or so headphones, but i'm still looking for "the one". These have great reviews and it sounds like the only complaints are pretty subjective. I don't really need the hands-free functionality but really just want a good set of headphones that will go 3.5mm or BT. I hope i'm happy with them.

Is there some sort of product that will convert the 3.5mm into a usb? Or like a converter of some sort? I want to use it for my ps3 and apparently the only chance to get the audio along with being able to use the mic.

I never planned on getting anything wireless, but the bluetooth seems promising. I'll have to look for reviews.

Edit: It looks like this thing is geared more toward cell phone usage, and it's microphone isn't exactly a PC-quality input mic. I'll pass.

I was thinking of using it for PC too. Where did you read that that microphone isn't "pc quality?" I would assume that if it's sufficient for mobile phone call quality, it would be for PC call quality too?

I'd like to use it with Skype/Gizmo/Google for chat, and was hoping this would be a good option, since my PC is bluetooth-enabled already. Thanks.

Yes. If your music device is Bluetooth enabled, you can use that; otherwise, use the cable with 3.5mm jack.

Try this adapter - read the reviews regarding PS3.

That's a lot simpler than using USB.

I do not believe these are true "noise cancelling" headphones. 20db isn't much and it probably attained just by having these cover your ears due to it's size. Second, the "antinoise" circuitry is not mentioned at any time, additionally, there are no noise sampling microphones on the out side of the cans which capture the outside noise to be countered by the special circuitry. The mics mentioned are for phone calls and if actually used to sample outside noise to counter, these would in effect "cancel" your own voice. Also, the packaging image does not display a thing about "noise cancelling". As a reminder, this type of feature is huge to any headphone that has this technology; look at the packaging image again. Buy these for other reasons than for "noise cancelling". I'm sure they sound great and wireless is cool but for anyone whose had the pleasure of enjoying true noise cancelling technology, the experience will not be found with these. It wouldn't that big of deal but it's in the title of today's Woot! so it's misleading.

Since nothing of the sort was included in today's woot, will we be receiving a disembodied metallic head with out purchase?

leepere wrote:Will these work with the XBOX 360?

Great idea, if they could work with Xbox360. The wireless technology is used for input peripheral devices and not transmitting of sound. The sound coming out of the Xbox would have to go into a Bluetooth capable receiver, if there is such a thing, or a device connected to it that would allow the sound to be transmitted via bluetooth. The mic is another concern. The mic would have to connect to the controller first and it's input mic port looks to be a 2.5" and not the larger 3.5" like the included cable. In the end, you might be able to use these to hear your game but not for use with Live!

The are not "noise canceling" headphone. The manual and spec sheet available online at the product website is pretty clear on this.

Closed-ear phones like this can do a good job of sound isolation, and from the reviews the drivers in here are prtty good so all-in-all you should experience significant (external) sound reduction using these.

They DO have noise reduction technology on the microphones for use while using the phone, and some other good stuff:

"Active noise cancellation technology using
two microphones make wind, background chatter, and other noises virtually mute. As the ambient noise levels change, the
headset responds quickly with automatic volume control."

but this is not used for music playback.
