Looks like my Basket of Cats has made it to the Rest Home in Martinsburg, WV. How long it will vacation there remains to be seen. Curiously, my SD cards which left Dallas at the same moment and presumably on the same truck, are not yet listed as arriving.

The kitties remain at 6.4 lb in their 12.8" cube. Hope they have some air holes.

Your kitties may be heavier or lighter that 6.4lb. Since 6.4 lb and 12.8" seems to be based on Fedex's formula:

SIDE = ( 330 * WEIGHT ) ^ (1/3) (from LEM)
(side in inches, weight in lbs)

(330 * 6.4)^(1/3) = 12.8.

My crap made it in and out of WV in 2 hrs. flat. That WV hub is at the top of it's game. That much can't be said for my local hub that only ships packages out at 5:30 am.

If yours didn't eat enough, mine must have been taking laxatives, it dropped a pound of crap between Dallas and Atlanta! Another explanation is that one of the cats shipped in my box ate another...of course this would only change the weight if there was an atomic reaction that converted the mass of cat1 to energy...this probably isn't the case because that would be about 2 x 10^17 joules of energy released as heat and light. That correlates with about 3000 of the largest atomic weapons ever tested in the US...pretty sure I would have heard about that on the news...or maybe the internet.

Mine made it to ATL and it ran around too much and lost a pound. Maybe while there it will feast on some trick or treat candy and gain the pound back!

My Bodacious Onion Center made it to Martinsburg, VA and stayed there for almost exactly 6 hours. It lost .1 pounds going from 5.5 to 5.4 pounds but grew in size from 12.2 squared to 14.4x10.4x8.8 while it says it is not scheduled for delivery until Friday, I am holding out hope that it may be here before then LOL

Well, I think mine is asleep after the long journey, it got there at 2:30 this afternoon and is still there. Maybe it will make it out on the morning truck before losing any more weight...

My Bucket of Candy & SD cards have done the same thing, although they are in or around Atlanta, before they turn around & come here to Birmingham.

This appears to be a tortoise & hare situation, because I got the email about the SD cards at least 24 hours before the email about the Crap, they left Dallas at the very same minute, but now the Crap is pulling ahead, it's arrived in Atlanta.

The Bucket of Candy only lost from 6.7 to 6.5 lb, which seems to be slight compared to some of the others going thru ATL

Well, not a great bucket of cranberries, but still, a lot of fun for eight dollars...

- 1 PGA Golf hat
- 1 PGA Golf backpack
- 1 2010 Would You Rather desk calendar
- 2 360 degree Stake sprinklers

The hat and sprinklers will be used, the backpack was gifted to a friend, and the desk calendar found its way into the trash can, since I already had three from the summertime Bountiful October Cornucopia.

My friend really liked the backpack, so everything worked out.

Due here in VT Nov. 6th. It's great that I get to see what everybody else is getting since I'll probably be the last to get my bucket of candy. Unless there's somebody in Maine that that got lucky!

Well, my Carp has left the building and is on it's way to Dallas. (Ga that is)

Previously, it almost always gets to the Post Office before our post lady leaves on the route and I get it same day. However, I was told last week that they just changed around all the routes to make them more "efficient" so who knows. The USPS site only states that it's received the information from FEDEX, but I've had the box delivered before the site was updated before so that's no indication.

Smartpost is indeed the Bucket of Candy of the shipping industry and a perfect match to ship our Carp!

Mine has been on its way to Chicago for days (too bad I'm in PA). Still listed as 18x12x12 and only 1lb. Thinking I'm getting a Bucket of Candy similar to what I've seen posted here.

Yay!

Oct 31, 2010 9:25 PM Departed FedEx location
FEDEX SMARTPOST BROOKLYN PARK, MN

Craptacular! I hope to find my Bucket of Candy waiting for me when I get home. I could have had it delivered to work, as that is closer to above mentioned FedEx location, but I was hoping it was going to be too big to fit in my sedan. Perhaps next time, I will have it delivered to work, and due to Murphy's law, it will be bigger.

First off, I love woot! My colleague commented it's like having a quirky, economical shopping assistant that runs product past you all year long (I do a lot of Christmas shopping via woot, like the Zarts from yesterday).

And I *LOVE* bags of crap! I'll never stop trying to win them.

And yet... Heavy sigh. I've got a 9.82-inch cube weighing in at 2.9 pounds headed my way, and my Carnac the Magnificent skills have me expecting:

1 PGA hat
1 PGA bag
1-2 HDMI extenders
1 SNAP camera

Don't get me wrong, 'cause here's my math:

1 PGA hat
+ 1 PGA bag
+ 1-2 HDMI extenders
+ 1 SNAP camera
+ Fun of monitoring wootoff
+ Anticipation
> $8

That being said - has anyone seen a letter out of this wootoff? Did anyone see a letter - and the results - from the last one? A glimmer of hope on the letter front would vastly improve the case of the Mondays I'm experiencing...

And yes, I will most certainly update with the actual contents when it arrives... Wednesday maybe?

And yes, if my prediction is accurate, I will definitely predict your next Bountiful October Cornucopia's contents for only $20.

So far my Box of Cheerios is 1 lb and is hanging out in Dallas with lots of other BOCs. It's my first Bucket of Candy and I am excited to see what it is.

Being a initiate to actually getting a Bucket of Candy. What is being referred to when some posters are hoping for a letter?

From time to time, lucky recipients of the Bucket of Candy will get a letter in their box from threepiecewoot saying that a second shipment will be arrive later.

That second shipment usually comes on a pallet.

You need not be concerned with the letter, It is in my bardel of catarrhine!

Actually, it refers to items to large to fit into your average packing box. Those who receive a letter will eventually receive some sort of large item/pallet by later freight shipment/air drop.
