I hope they are right about the Super LoLux, but I somehow doubt it. My question is what can we do if this is not as advertised? It hasn't been shipped yet, so Woot should give us an option to cancel the order if it is not a model with Super LoLux

I received my camera yesterday (10/27) before I even got a tracking number...weird. Today I got the email saying my item has been shipped. I've orered a lot here on woot, but this was by far the fastest shipping.

My one concern is that when setting record mode to HD you are prompted with "scenes recorded in this mode are HD and cannot be backed up on DVD"???

Would you mind telling us if it has Super LoLux or not? Woot says that it does, JVC's web site says it does not. Thanks.

Thanks, mine is supposed to be here tomorrow, so I'll just have to wait and see. It's coming via UPS, thank goodness. That way it might make it. Between the Post Office and SmartPost three of my shipments from Woot have been lost in just the last month and a half. Two of them were not replaceable.

I don't see Super LoLux anywhere on the camera or in the menu as an option. If someone could tell me where to look I'd be happy to.

Gotta say I'm not too impressed with the video quality of this camera-BUT I don't have a mini HDMI cable yet-using the crappy A/V cable provided.

Did you charge it up first, my battery was completely dead when i received mine, once i fully charged it, it worked.

Looks like this camera does not have LoLux. The picture quality is very grainy even indoors with normal lights. Outdoors it works well, but there is nothing about LoLux on the camera or in the options. Sorry for the bad news, guys.

yep...mine is DOA too. I tried to charge it. The light flashed slowly for about 10 seconds and then went out. No power at all.

I was afraid after reading in this forum, that was going to be the case. It is very unfortunate as that was the main selling point for me. I now have an un-opened package from Woot, that now needs returned. What is the process for returning this now?

I got mine in the mail today.

I am looking at the features to see if there is a lo lux setting, as advertised on the Woot page.

Charged the battery and there's lots to check out. It's a nice camcorder, pretty fancy features.

It's night here and I will shoot some video in my computer area, that has one 150w bulb. If this camcorder has that super lo lux feature, it should work quite well in here..

This thing is very well built, by the way. But all that does not matter if the video does not work well in low light settings, meaning indoors.

Well I have spent over an hour looking at the entire camcorder and also the 122 page manual.

While there are some low light adjustments, I don't see the low lux setting.

Also, the camcorder certainly did not perform as well as shown on the site, the lo lux page.

Shame because it's a nicely detailed camcorder.

Interesting: My Panasonic LX3 digital camera weighs about an ounce MORE THAN the JVC camcorder.

I'll post this in the event anyone follows up on the issue with the "Super Lo Lux" feature.

I contacted Woot and requested to return this camcorder.

Within a few hours via e-mail Woot gave me a prepaid FedEx label to print out and affix to the box. Literally within hours of Woot contacting me the camcorder was on its way back to Woot (and Woot paid for shipping).

(Woot admitted there was an error in the ad copy).

This kind of "owning up to an error" and follow-up service has made me a life-long Woot customer. I will always give my business to businesses that conduct themselves the way Woot did on this issue.
