These little guys were one of my first purchases from Woot back in July of 2008. They work very well and now I am getting more to protect more areas of my home. I was surprised to see they had not sold out yet. Thanks WOOT!

To slightlyslappydash, I think the name of the Stephen King story was "Rainy Season"

I can't remember the name of that movie, but there is Frogs from 1972. Picked it up on DVD at Walmart for $2 a couple years back. Man-eating frogs are a must-have in order to make a good movie.

I'm not sure why folks are thinking the price is higher. I bought LeakFrogs during past Wootoffs, and each time they were $7.99 each:

8/17/06 Wootoff
Bought 3 for $7.99 each
With shipping, $28.67 for 3 is $9.66 ea

4/26/07 Wootoof
Bought 3 for $7.99 each
With shipping, $28.67 for 3 is $9.66 ea

Today
Buy 1 pair for $17.99 (shipped), or $9.00 ea
Buy 2 pair for $30.98 (shipped), or $7.75 ea
Buy 3 pair for $43.97 (shipped), or $7.33 ea

I'm in for at least 2 pair, maybe 3 so I can have an even dozen protecting my family by surrounding all the evil porcelain fixtures in our house!

LAST FIVE WOOTS:
04/12/13 Eye-Fi Mobile 8GB Wireless Memory Card - $35
03/01/13 Powerbag 3000mAh Charging Bag - $40
02/21/13 Canon Wireless AIO Printer - $50
02/21/13 3M HD Camcorder Projector - $80
11/10/12 Alaratec Charge-Glo 30-pin Sync Cable (x3) - $5 ea

The Princess and the LeakFrog now this is a love story I like to tell. Bought 1 off Woot 2 years ago because it looked cute. put it in my basement and I have kissed it at least three times for saving my basement from turning into a real frog haven. Heck yeah I am getting one more!

They should change it to WOOTSUCKS.

Give us a (tax-)break, guys!

If you buy 3 sets, it works.

You want three
LeakFrog Water Leak Alarm 2-Pack

3 Ideative LeakFrog Water Leak Alarm:
which each cost $12.99
for a subtotal of $38.97
plus tax collected by Woot + $2.73
plus shipping + $5.00
minus discount - $5.00
for a total of $41.70

Leak frogs are awesome. Thrice now they've saved me from major water damage, and once I probably would've had a totally flooded basement (clogged AC condenser drain, leaking hot water heater, and broken water line to the washing machine, if anyone cares what the buttafuocoures were).

I heart my Leak Frog, and if I didn't already have 4, I'd so buy more.

I bought several of these a couple years ago. My parents had one and it went off when their basement started leaking & my mother-in-law had a washing machine leak that set hers off. They are well worth the money.

I have six leakfrog's I have bought over the years on Woot.Never had to use them yet, being we live in Florida,I bought these in case of a huricane, which we have been lucky not to have sence 2004,when we had three within six weeks. When I read the reviews on these here on Woot, how some of the Wooters have had their belongings saved, due to these little guys, how can you not want them.Glad to see them on Woot again, its been a long time sence Woot had these.

Love them. I have several around the house. One notified me of a leak under the sink, which I would not have known about without the frog. They are getting expensive though. I got mine for a lot less than today's price. They actually make good gifts too.

So here's a little ditty I posted a few years back. I have 2, I have given them as gifts too. They are standing watch in my basement right now. Enjoy....

"It was a stormy day in Chicago. Many a mighty tree fell, but the Leak Frog held true. As lightening lite the sky, rain fell sideways, the Leak Frog was ever vigilant.
When the power buttafuocoed and the sump pump quit, the Leak Frog never left his post. And lo, the mighty leak frog sent out warnings, not once but twice as water came into our basement. And while mighty com ed has not restored power, the tiny leak frog continues his watch"
Yep 3 days, no power, but the might leap frog did his thing. All I can say is peace of mind from flooding. Priceless!!

Yay! Woot listened to me. I asked for these a while back and finally have some. These were some of the first things I saw as a young wooter, and I didn't understand what they were. Now I know and went in for 3...er...6. Thank you for listening woot. Now if you can figure out how to not let Bucket of Candy's go at the same time, it'll be a great wooting world. Oh and I got a shirt too, since it seems thematic and all.

Wow.

12:30 AM East Coast Time. I hear a sound - sounds like it's raining. That's a surprise. Look outside. Dry. Inside, still sounds like it's raining. Check outside again. Dry. Notice that it only sounds like it's raining on the East side of the house. Uh oh. Down in the basement, it's like a sauna. Hot water spraying everywhere. Burst laundry supply hose, like they always warn you about. Spraying hot water all over the ceiling.

We moved into this house last week. Find the water shut off. Confirm the source of the leak. Shut of laundry supply line, which is difficult. Turn water back on.

Rush upstairs to buy a leakfrog at 12:57! New address, plus my credit card number changed due to fraud last week! Will I make it? Yes!

Now, back to clean up and dry out the basement. No fooling, this is all just happened to me.

Welcome to Home Ownership (if you are a new homeowner).

I lived in my house a glorious 10 months before the 1st flood, which was about 100 gallons of water (maybe 130 gallons). The 2nd flood was 3 weeks later, and was about 1,000 gallons. Took 13.5 hours to remove between pump, and shop vac.

With any luck, the warehouse monkeys worked furiously today to pack these up and you'll see something posted in this thread tomorrow.

With a flood of 20,000 froggies....I think it is understandable that the monkeys are a little swamped at the moment. Perhaps they need their own set of frogs?

I got mine yesterday. Found some batteries and tested. The alarm is loud enough but not as loud as say a smoke alarm I thought.

It will do for my purposes though. One next to the old water heater in the basement and one under the ceiling where an upstairs bathroom leaks one or twice a year.
