I'm not convinced having it covered under factory warranty is worth much anymore. Maybe better to go with a 3rd party warranty company like SquareTrade that's pretty good.

Hmm, I have never dealt with SquareTrade, I wonder how pleasant they are?

I own this for a family pc in the kitchen. It is a smaller case which was good for our space, but it does not have wireless. You can get a usb adapter to connect to your network.

I've had several warranties with them, but I've never had to call in any of them. Reviews I found online while researching them seem to be quite good, though. And their prices are pretty dang good, imho.

Do Woot employees undergo psychiatric testing on a regular basis? What sort of hard drugs must they be on to come up with a link between a mediocre priced desktop and my colon?

Quality post? Think what you are saying here. You are on Woot, where Carp is King. Do you REALLY want to be found to be somehow "quality" by Woot personnel? I suggest you rethink that idea.

The integrated graphics on this syetm is average. I mean for a motherboard that has this integrated BS.

the really crappy thing is- They KNOW this things runs like dookie with the memory they provide with the system.

You have to ditch the memory installed to upgrade. the thing takes 4 2 gig sticks.

ok so you think - Hmm well i will just get a vid card and free up a load of memory...

NOPE!!! The Bios is so rediculously simple that you cannot turn the Onboard OFF.
can you believe that? what a load of crud.
yeah you can put a pci express card in, but there is only a few that will work with this set up with 64bit and windows 7.
but since you cant shut the onboard off - the resources are still being used.

funny hu? also teh mother board is Tiny - featurless and all that.

Hm, good call. I would think that as long as you go low-mid end of the current or past gen, you'd be alright, but there could also be an issue with a lack of connectors.

But hey, this is woot. The risk of ending up with worthless junk is part of the fun!

Edit: The post above me points out you can't turn off the onboard video card, so the rest of this doesn't really matter. Do not pick up this system for gaming. Put the extra time and money in and build a decent low-end gaming computer for $700 or so.

SquareTrade overall is quite good (you can find tons of reviews online). You actually talk to someone in the US who is generally very helpful. On most of their warranties they pay you your cash back if the product fails: the problem is that for cheap PCs like this they will fix it but will only provide coverage up to the amount you paid so if you have lots of problems and have to replace expensive parts they might not continue to fix it. Pretty good overall, just make sure you use a promo code to get 20%-30% off.
