Great deal here. I'll sell my 120 off to someone and make out like a bandit here. Can never have too much storage when you're a junkie.

I'm doing that and getting nada.

Also, this is the best Woot I've ever Wooted.

Yep - Use the Order Number as the Reference (in the Reference Box, not the Account no. Box), then enter the Country and Zip. Should show.

Awesome. Thanks. I was using the wrong zip; billing instead of shipping.

It's suppose to be to me tomorrow at 3pm! Woot!

Bummer, others have had theirs shipped already I ordered just after was listed and has not shipped yet...was overnight something one had to request?

Whoa, non-smartpost shipping? Overnight shipping? Can we start getting that all the time still for $5?

Not as far as I know. Have you looked by reference number? Woot hasn't said that mine has shipped, and I haven't gotten an official tracking number yet, but most people seem to have already found theres by the ref

The predictor suggests we won't have one until January 11, but I don't trust it :P

Yet Dragon's Lair is a joke compared to 99% of today's games. I think you can safely let go of that one. Maybe it was only released in Japan...

I was so excited when I saw this last night. I had to go check the retail price, because I wasn't sure if the hard drives had dropped this much or not. I was really glad to see it was a Microsoft product, instead of a knock off.

I've been waiting for a good deal on a bigger hard drive for a long time. I've used all but 2GB of my 20GB hard drive...

Thanks for posting the way to track the packages. I'll be getting mine tomorrow!

I'm going to guess "no" on that one. Clearly, Woot got a great deal on these drives, so they could sell them at a low price and eat the shipping costs.

It would be nice if we regularly had the option of paying a coupla bucks to go UPS...

Yes, these DEFIANTLY work on a Colecovision. But you have to mod it first, and install OS 3.24HU. But then it works.

lol of ALL days to freakin' miss a woot. Oh well. I really don't foresee filling up my 120gb (since I use a 6TB share for movies/music) so maybe it saved me $55 or at least I'll tell myself that. hehe

You think that's bad, I routinely have to evict installs and DLCs off my 20GB to make room for new ones. With an added 16GB thumb drive I have room for all of three games and not much else. I don't even bother with movies for this reason. Most of the stuff I've bought on Live will have to be re-downloaded because I simply don't have room for it so it waits for me in the cloud. Having 250GB is going to be so nice! I've had some pretty good Woots but this one tops them all.

Has anyone ever tried to ghost or image an Xbox 360 drive?

I would like to image this new one before I use it encase it goes bad.

How large of a hard drive can you put in an xbox?

Is it possible to just image the xbox 360 drive and dump that image on a new laptop sata drive? Install it into the xbox case and presto.

Sounds easy enough but I've never tried with the xbox drives before. After I transfer everything I might give it a whirl.

Just curious.
Any one know? Off to the interweb

Edit:

After some reading. I'll stick with the brand upgrade.

for those wondering about tracking, you go to fedex.com, track by reference, use your order number and zip code. Mine also shows delivery tomorrow even though I didn't get a shipped email yet.

It's the exact same text they always have on that page. They just didn't change it to fit the occasion. Far as I can tell, my drive is set to show up tomorrow at 3 (though Fedex/UPS usually doesn't deliver here before 5 or 6.)

FedEx uses multiple delivery "networks"... I don't think the typical FedEx ground trucks (purple/green) deliver FedEx overnight packages (purple/orange). The routes and schedules are different.

Click "My account". On the left, look under "What you've bought from Woot". Click "Microsoft 250GB Hard Drive for Xbox 360". Then click "click here to view your receipt." Then look for: "on 12/22/2010, you successfully wooted. order #######"

Go to https://www.fedex.com/AltRefTracking?cntry_code=us. Enter the ###### into "* Enter reference" (the SECOND box) Select "United States" in "Destination country" and enter your zip code in "Destination postal code". Click "Track".

Not to mention these things weight about as much as a banana...so they aren't super expensive to expedite (relative to shopping a watermelon-weighted item, at least).

I just went and made myself hungry with the fruit comparisons.

I live about 5 Miles from the facility in Addison. It's amusing to look at the Fedex tracking and see that the package is traveling 100+ miles through the fedex system just to get back to the same general area.

Maybe woot should consider a local pickup option.
