The shirts are great but in no way is size M gonna fix my XL body. Its a shame.

Anyone wanna buy them? 8 bucks. That includes priority mail shipping.

I dig that shirt and I wear AA size M. I'd be interested in 1 or 2 if you're gonna sell them individually. You can even ship it first class mail in like a 10x13 envelope to make it cheaper for you.

Most hard drives have a RIDICULOUSLY high impact rating in the non-operational state.

So, if it does not work, it was probably defective before being put in the box loose.

Should you wish to sell it, tell me your price!

Checked it out tonight and it seems fine. Edit: After using, I do notice it has a high pitched squeal (like an inductor in an old TV set), so I probably won't leave it plugged in, but it will make a good backup drive. Looks like it's 1.5Tb. Cool! The Dyson vacuum seems to work fine as well. One thing about getting Crap from Woot!, it's not that crappy!

My new slogan, "If you're tired of the world crapping on you, come to Woot! It's not that they won't crap on you, too, they will, but you will enjoy it so much more!"

My Big Orphaned Cetacea has finally been shipped!!! I just got my tracking number and it will be here tomorrow!

My fun finally begins! Hope it ends up being worth the wait!

So, I have a question, it's coming by way of Fedex Home Delivery. (Imagine my 8 year old daughter's excitement when she thought that meant that Woot got us a new house!)

What does Fedex Home Delivery mean? I'm assuming it's coming this way and not Smartpost just because I've had to wait so long and my original Big Orphaned Cetacea had never been shipped or was lost.

Can't wait for tomorrow!

I hate "Smart" Post!!!!

Well, looks like it's more or less official, my 38.4 lb Big o' Cosmos managed to escape somewhere during the trip from Texas.

After multiple calls over several days to both FedEx and USPS:

- FedEx says they delivered it to my local Post Office on 12/31.

- My local Post Office says they never received it.

Now they're just pointing fingers at each other saying it must be the other guy's fault and they did their part.

I suppose I could notify Woot, and given what I've read of others' experiences, they'd probably do something to try to make it right, but it just wouldn't be the same. I'm sure Woot doesn't keep track of what they ship in most Big o' Cosmos's, so there's little chance they could even tell me what I missed out on. And whatever they sent me as a replacement certainly wouldn't be in the same range as the almost 40 lbs of stuff that never made it.

So I don't blame Woot for my major disappointment, but I absolutely blame this humanic arrangement between FedEx and the USPS that seems to have major issues with at least some shipments Every...Single...Time!!!

Now that's sad. I know Woot would send replacement crap, but the mysterious contents of that 40 lb box will just haunt you.

I can only imagine your frustration.

WOW!!! I just received a 38 pound box from woot! It wasn't even addressed to me (the tag came off), but the mailman knows that I am a woot-a-holic, and just dropped it on my porch.. The crap is AWESOME!!!

Just kidding, really.. Sorry for your loss lotguitar. That sucks big time!

Just really damn lucky: Random Crap: 2/15/08, 2/19/09, 12/25/09, 4/1/10, 12/1/10, 12/25/10, 4/1/11, 5/11/11, 9/14/11, 10/12/11, 12/25/11

I mean, the delivery is HERE!!!

Sorry it took so long.

---snip---

I'll list in a few minutes. Most seem to be smashed or open, but I think most is salvagable.

Thanks for your warm wishes!

Leo

EDIT: Didn't mean to imply that Woot! is only shipping trash:

:-O

Rough counts
20 groups (70 individual items not counting ind. purses) are NIB
7 were NIB, but box was crushed slightly in some manner, but items appear to be fine
about 12 have no box, but all look good except umbrella was bent, and sandbox was chipped
15 were open box or returns, but appear fine

and the Dyson vacuum was used and dirty.

So, all in all, only a handful seem to actually be returns, used or damaged.

So about 27 items weren't in boxes (and may not have been, or were floor samples), 7 were corner crushed, and 3 were returns or used. Me thinks Woot! may also operate as the internet's BigLots. :-)

Cheers,
Leo

I got mine about a week ago. The biggest item was a HP Office Jet J4680 which is PERFECT because I'm working on my screenplay and could use a wireless copier/scanner/printer plus fax. Newest drivers = much easier (I previously looked for reviews which found it grim to operate about a year ago).

Other than that:

Bundle of Shirts, Gold's Totes, Golf Caps and Golf bags.

Thanks woot!

I did not receive my Bundle of Coats yet

Received the tracking number on 28th Dec but tracking info never came up either on Fedex or USPS websites. Called both Fedex and USPS and was told that they never received the package.

Sent a mail to Woot. I am hoping Woot gods will make it good for me.

That was it! Sure makes me wish I would have gotten my original Big Orphaned Cetacea!!!!!

The woot! staff has acknowledged that your first Big Orphaned Cetacea was returned to them as undeliverable, and the contents of that box included:

-speaker for an mp3 player shaped like a soccer ball

Sigh.

I notified Woot so they could be aware of how screwed up Smartpost is, and as I feared, the replacement Big o' Cosmos didn't live up to the 38+ lbs I was initially slated to receive.

Again, I don't blame Woot, I blame FedEx/USPS.

So the final result was:

1 50x60 Throw
1 Snowman Christmas Decoration/Picture Frame
1 Pack of 3 Mini Aqua Globes

Though I have to wonder, since the original bag was 38 lbs and the replacement was listed as 3.8, if someone in the shipping department decided to have fun getting the package to exactly one tenth the original weight.

Or maybe the original box contained 10 each of the same three items :-)

Or it could be a coincidence ... nah!

You didn't get a bag as part of your Big Orphaned Cetacea either!

I wrote to Woot asking if I should have received one... guess what I got in the mail!?!?!

A brown paper sack with a yellow question mark on it!

lol

That did occur to me, but honestly I was so disheartened by the way this whole situation shook out that it wasn't worth it to me to invest any more time or effort.

Though that bag does sound sweet!
