If you are doing a kitchen/dining room expanson, you should be able to move it.
I think the closer the dryer is to an outside wall, the better off it is. The vent run can clog with lint after a few years and if you can't get to it, you worry about it.

My puppy needs a hair cut, but it is going to be cold for some time to come, so I hate to do anything to decrease his insulation.

Still single, can't imagine why.

Back. Some ideas. Probably will go with piers rather than foundation.

How large of an extension are you considering?

upstairs neighbor has drama. her fiancee just dumped her, and she had already turned in her notice to move. So the apt. complex has already leased her apt.

There's a couple of hours I won't get back. I do feel sorry for her though.

Husband's saying 10x10, but I'm pretty sure it's going to have to be bigger than that.

Unless you are just tacking that onto the existing eating area, that is small.
From pictures I've seen of your house, you have room to go further.

All the time. We don't even expect an answer anymore.

Do anything exciting today?
I found the counter top. Again. It will be gone by monday.

Rusty is bored. He has decided I should feed him.

I just got a burger king meal. Got the small. Sure doesn't seem all that small. No wonder everyone is fat.

Rusty is showing me the food closet and the bowl.
I wonder if he thinks I forgot were they are?

Might as well feed him.

Someone will be happy then!

Well, I had my burger and fries. Then ate a ton of cookies.
I guess I better walk Rusty so when hubby gets home from work and church, I'll be hungry.

Oh, damn, I had leftovers. I forgot.

It seems my mom got a ton of IHop gift cards for christmas. They were giving a buy a $20 card and get a $5 coupon. The coupon was only good in Jan. The weather has been awful, so she has 4 left.
I took some and we are going tonight. Hubby like it sometimes.

We went to Red Robin this afternoon on the same deal. My sister bought a bunch of gift cards, and for every 25, you get a separate 5. They don't have a Red Robin nearby so she gave them to me.

Ate at Red Robin for the first time in 7 years last night. I'm not allergic to the dish soap at the one at the mall, I am allergic (or was) to the one at Riverpark - old world's fair location, but the Pier in Seattle is fine too. Go figure.

Except they must marinate the chicken for the kids, Ver1 had a painful reaction on the way home. Gave her benedryl as soon as we got in. She seems ok today.

Pictures were ok, but it took ALL DAY. We took the photos (2hrs), gave her 2 hrs to pick the good ones, and supposedly do enhancements and collages and came back, but no enhancements or collages were made. Original girl left, and the new girl made 4 collages by request and did some very very very basic enhancements and got our order and that took 3 hours. If we don't get the good photographer next time I might try to find someone local.

That's what I was initially afraid of! ( That she would want to stay with me until she found something or something)

If the apartment complex doesn't figure something out, which they are going to try and do, she is just going to move.

I'm scared I'm gonna get some apartment brats above me....

uggh... that was my least favorite thing about renting, bad upstairs neighbors!

I had great neighbors for the two years I lived in my studio in the basement. I lived in this old house and you could barely tell anyone lived there it was so quiet, except for one Halloween when one of the porch units had a huge party, but they invited the whole house and it was a Saturday anyway.

Got married and moved into a bigger place, horrible neighbors and then more loud neighbors and the property managers really didn't care. I actually had to take decorations off the walls to keep them from falling the upstairs neighbors would be so loud.

Hang in there. If the overwhelming feel of the building is quiet you may be in luck. You aren't next to a University, right? That has to help!!!

I think I would sacrifice a lot to get a house rather than an apartment. I HATE driving, but I would rather drive an hour to work than be able to hear my neighbors. I would even sacrifice internet speed, and I live on the internet.

Sorta, but you have to go quite a ways AND the houses get very old, not a good thing here.
