Having the usual postage stamp-sized kitchenette in my apartment, these strike me as a perfect way to use odd crevices that are otherwise not very useful because you can put an appliance there but not actually use it. Doesn't have to be something overhanging either; consider having a bunch of things side by side, making it hard to access the side of one of them. This happens a [em]lot[/em] with even a small number of appliances; I have a bunch of stuff overflowed into repurposed bookcases just outside the kitchen, where they are difficult to use for other reasons.

Really. There's no space in these kitchenettes. And even less in my current one because it's open on both ends, so only two walls to hold cabinets and shelving.

Definitely going to try this product. I hope my monster Kitchen Aid mixer will fit on it. My doctor will love that I will no longer have to lift that thing since I'm only allowed to lift up to 10 pounds. And no, I have no one else to lift it for me, unless the two cats and my dog can be trained to do that.

yancybox wrote:For those of us with a Bunn coffee maker, it won't work. I was excited when I first saw it; however, if it is only 12.5" when not extended, it won't work with a Bunn. I know it extends to 21" which would work; however, what's the use of having it is you have to leave it extended all the time?

I'm buying this specifically for my Bunn coffeemaker. The coffeemaker is 8.5" wide X 11" deep (length of base), the product is 9" wide with a top panel that is 12" long (deep): so how will this not work? Sounds like it was tailor-made for them.

BTW, The Bunn needs this contraption even more than the average coffee maker because it has a filled water reserve tank at all times that makes the machine pretty unwieldy.

Does anyone know if this can be fastened down to a shelf or counter-top? And I don't mean with glue or double-sided tape or whatever.

If your countertop is not smooth, then how will this even work for you? An unleveled Handy Caddy would lean forward and backward like a rocking chair. :o)

Now couldn't you sand your granite down for the surface to be flat again?

Do a Google and go to the message boards with people that are experts on granite countertops. They would be more than happy to give you tips on fixing your granite problems.

When there is a problem and you do nothing to fix it, it remains a problem. For example, our economy. :o)

This is weird - I think I actually need a pair of these. I got a bred maker machine thing for Christmas (from my awesome boss - she knows I've been wanting one) that fits nicely on one section of counter top in my tiny kitchen, but I have to pull it out to the edge of the counter to use it or I can't open the lid. I've NEVER seen this thing before and it seems like it actually may benefit mankind, unlike other "As seen on TV" items like the Snuggie/Slanket or the "Tiddy Bear" (now renamed the SnuggleStrap. I feel like a dork, but I'm in for a pair.

I think these will work just fine, and will look okay on my black quartz countertop. However...

Whine comin' atcha, W00t - I dearly loves you, have since day 1, but...

Recently there was a bit of a fluff-up about Gawker, passwords, hackers, etc. In a momentary fit of remorse for the Great Hack of '10, W00t sent me an email saying something like "Because we're sorry this happened, we'd like for you to have this coupon code, to be applied to your next order, yadda-yadda..."

Well, I just ordered this 2-fer and tried to use the coupon code, which was supposed to be good until the end of March, but that noxious little red notation appeared on the top of my virtual order form - it said "That coupon code will not work."

Well... why? I hadn't already used it, and you SAID to use it.

So I had to pay full price for the one (two) I ordered, which is admittedly a very good price and I'm glad to have it, BUT... you SAID... so, I'm confused. What happened?

You'll never get anyone to lift it for you with an attitude like that. P.S. Crazy cat people normally have more than two cats and no dogs.

I gave my wife one of these for Christmas from BB&Y, along with a laptop, jewelry, and clothes. THIS is what she shows everyone that comes by. It is a pretty neat device and I am getting a couple to give some folks I know.

Believe it or not, I might actually find this useful for dragging the KitchenAid from under the cabinets without risking a scratch on the countertop. That thing's heavy.

This is a great deal! I paid $20 for one. My coffee maker has rubber pads under it and moving it out from under the cabinets to fill the water reservoir was a pain in the neck. EVERY time I pull out the coffee maker on my slick caddy I'm glad that I got it!!!

Only Woot could take a product this absolutely inane, wrap it in a clever write up and make it actually tempting to purchase.

It's too bad the product isn't as witty as the site.

This would actually be quite handy for my parents. Their coffee maker's feet grip the counter top so well that sliding the coffee maker is almost impossible, and the machine is so top-heavy that lifting it up the two inches allowed by the cabinets makes it all jittery and easy to topple over

Have they considered moving only the pot? Might make pouring easier.

It would be nice for the appliances that have those suction cups on them and keep sticking to the counter. You pick the item up at an angle and release all but the one that is stuck for life.....

Can you print labels with this thing? OK, I'm kiddin, but what possible function could this product have that could possibly be of value to anyone? This would be the least usable product that has ever even been in one of their bags of crap. There are some decent goodies in the bags of crap. This thing wouldn't even be good to burn!

I'm hoping that it'll work with my rice maker. The feet under it should just make it on the tray. Sadly, I don't think the toaster oven will go on this. All this would be unnecessary if whoever designed our kitchen didn't try to cram everything into a tiny space!

O.M.G., grass countertops not recommended!

OK so the thing is, I cannot believe this, but that's EXACTLY my situation. Only two things prevent me from instantly ordering.

1. I only need one. I own no other appliance that would be properly accommodated.

2. I want the damn coffee grinder.

Anyone want to split an order with me??

I was given one of these for Christmas by my folks. I didn't know I needed it, they didn't know I needed it, and I didn't even know such a thing existed.

Anyway, I have pretty limited counter space, and to open my coffee maker to get everything set up, you have to pull it out from under the cabinet. I was used to doing this anyway but honestly it really is worth the $5 to have the "smooth pull" instead of the "lift and drag", especially since it also provides a buffer between the coffee pot and the counter (for those occasional drips and spills) and makes everything look just a little neater.
