Which is PERFECTLY FINE since we ALL know (thanks to the Mayans) that there isn't going to BE anything after 2012. This is also why you won't need to be ordering more than 3 sets of these things either.

Thanks Woot! (they think of EVERYTHING!) ;-)

They make me sick, but I'm not sure if it's aspartame or another sweetener.

What? I can only buy 144? I travel a lot and this is exactly what I need! Though I don't feel like making a second account just to buy a ton of toothbrushes.... annoying....

I have to hesitantly disagree. As much as I adore NightGhost's presence, only the first review was a real review. The last two were exaggerated opinion columns by two "reviewers" that both have some level of periodontal disease.

The last guy is missing 11 teeth and believes the plastic may scratch the tooth enamel (he says the bristles have a mohs' hardness of 9). I wouldn't be surprised if the 3rd guy looks like the pic you posted [repeated below].

The second guy believes that gums are supposed to bleed and hurt until they've built up "scar tissue". He likely has very bad tooth and gums and so yes, using one of these brushes was more than likely a very unforfortable experience. He also implies that the pick side is sharp enough to stab someone.

Now both the second and third reviewer may have been joking a little but that has no place in a review unless it's obvious that it's a joke, which it's not.

My wife and I love these things. We keep a 4-pack in our vehicles, and over night bags, cuz you never know when you need one.

At this price, I wish I could buy a whole friggin case.

3 thumbs up Woot!

A friend of mine actually was on the design team that helped create these. I've used them and they are basically awesome to keep as secondary brushing solutions, say at work, or in your messenger bag. I carry two with me almost anywhere, and it's saved me from some gamy, funky, oniony lunch smells during the business day. Very cool stuff.

Because they do not ship there. The only time someone is wooting in AK or HI is if they know someone in the other 48 states who they can have the item shipped to.

bryte wrote:I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not. They are for one quick use and to be thrown away. With that life cycle, the size becomes irrelevant.

Here is a fact:
"In 2006, U.S. residents, businesses, and institutions produced more than 251 million tons of municipal solid waste, which is approximately 4.6 pounds of waste per person per day." http://www.epa.gov/epawaste/nonhaz/index.htm

Municipal solid waste goes into those landfills you talk about. This amount of garbage is equivalent to burying more than 82,000 football fields six feet deep in compacted garbage.

Unfortunately "spend your life recycling it" is simply not the answer. Recycling creates its own pollution too. These disposable items wouldn't magically become your new North Face fleece or yogurt cups.

My arguments are probably falling on deaf ears as you seem to think that a landfill is the solution to the trash we generate.

Uh, size IS relevant. As is composition. So as you judge those who buy little plastic tooth brushes as being wasteful while sitting at your laptop whilst your iphone rings right next to your mp3 player, consider this: http://www.npr.org/2010/12/21/132204954/after-dump-what-happens-to-electronic-waste

There are bigger things to worry about than the Wisp.

dliidlii wrote:YES, It does. And your statement that "Everything that goes in a landfill remains indefinitely without biodegrading" shows you are also ill informed.

Nothing biodegrades in a landfill. Nothing. Biodegrading requires oxygen to occur at its normal pace. We don't exactly know how fast something will biodegrade in a landfill without knowing how much, if any, oxygen is reaching it.

Maybe this will help you be more informed on who is actually informed:

http://environment.about.com/od/recycling/a/biodegradable.htm

And no, if and wehn we run out of room in landfills, no one is going to say these toothpicks were a significant contributer. Not when even normally biodegrading matter remains unchanged in the land fills. The problem is how we "dispose" of garbage, not that we "dispose" of garbage.

Just a reminder per your confirmation email:

Your order will typically ship within 5 business days. To check your order status, go to the Your Account tab at www.woot.com, log in and check your order history.

This is the 3rd business day. Hang tight and don't invade anyone's airspace yet. Mints might help.

Of all the websites I order merchandise from, and they are many, W00t is by far and away the absolute slowest of the slow. If you don't keep tabs you might forget you're expecting something to be delivered to you. It's almost as bad as waiting for a mail-in rebate.

But they do eventually ship, and the items do eventually arrive. I've never had one yet that hasn't.

Yea, we dont want the same chaos as with the isotoner gloves. Figures, I ordered 3 of these also.

By the way, woot states at the top of the general facts page:

"I see only one item, do you sell anything else?
No. We sell one item per day until it is sold out or until 11:59pm central time when it is replaced (see next entry for details). However, each item we sell is in stock and typically ships within 2-3 business days."

I have a sneaking suspicion that you have to now say 5 business day because you do not have the items in stock. You are simple selling for some third party affiliate and once you collect all the orders, you send them all the order info and they ship you what you need.

Funny how alot of these shipping issues suddenly popped up once Yahoo purchased you guys. So, exactly what did Yahoo do to start tearing down the reputation of the very best deal of the day site on the web?

I love woot and my 183 purchases prove that! I love the products, the people and the personality that woot brings to their daily listings but something has drastically changed. The shipping times, the quality of the products received, actually getting what I ordered.

Well, tomorrow (Wednesday) is the fifth business day so I assume we will get an email letting us know that woot finally printed a shipping label. The tracking number will show that the package was actually picked up from woot and headed to the Dallas sorting facility on friday or monday. But hey, they at least generated a shipping label on the fifth day so they covered themselves!
