If you're prone to 'sleep-chewing', then this is definitely not the mattress for you.

I bought a similar mattress back in July. It was the 8" version, but same idea. It lasted me until about September before it began to sag. I had to recently get rid of it because i could feel the box spring below. Granted this has 2" of extra foam, but i doubt that will help. And for those wondering, no Im not overweight. It was just couldn't keep me up. So to speak.

So, perhaps my earlier theory about why I'm not having the same problems with my mattress as others is right, then?

This one really makes me wonder. I didn't have a king frame when I bought this mattress, so I bought an entirely new platform bed, in part to save money by not having to buy box springs as well.
Is this what is making the difference?

I'm not sure that's the difference. For both of the memory foam mattresses I've owned, I purchased the specific hard platform that had been designed to go with each one, and I still experienced the softening and dent issues with each.
It certainly would make sense that using the appropriate base ought to help with these issues; that's just not been my experience. (And again, as I mentioned in my earlier post, I didn't get my memory foam mattresses here - one was a Dormia, and the other was a high-end Tempur-Pedic - and neither lasted more than 2 years before becoming intolerable.)
Really, I'm not blue, I don't have a ratty beard, and I NEVER wear pink.
