To those asking where to request a tracking number, I just emailed them this morning using the "write us" link at the top of the screen (http://www.woot.com/WriteUs.aspx) and they sent me my tracking number within 2 hours.

Mine showed up, here in Missouri about an hour ago.
I finally have a tracking number from Woot, now;
not that it matters anymore.
Everything we've ordered has been delivered fairly good time and have gotten great deals on good products; but they really don't update the information too well.
Bought the nearly identical computer from Woot at the beginning of the month for a friend and it was so nice we decided to jump on this one.
Wish I could have gotten the laptop they offered a few days ago.
Gonna go play with it now. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

Received mine today. Fan comes on, sounds like it's running, but it doesn't seem to recognize any peripherals. No monitor, keyboard, etc. Light on mouse won't even come on. Anybody else have this issue? Suggestions?

Thanks

I know what you mean, I ordered an additional hard drive from Newegg the same day, two days later(not counting the weekend), it arrived.

But...and there is always a but, when the system arrived and I plugged in the drive...hung the system and just made a clicking noise. RMA time, the drive went back today. I don't want to think about how long the turn around will be.

OK, Newegg received the drive yesterday(3/8) and today(3/9) they already shipped me the replacement. Way to go Newegg.

Got mine in this afternoon... BUT after getting it all setup and the recovery disc and system restore discs made it froze up then shut down.... now when I turn it back on nothing starts up, I can hear it running and the lights are on on the tower but no display on the monitor, no lights on the keyboard or mouse.
It was pretty cool while it lasted the entire 1hr it was working... guess I will be on the phone tomorrow about it.
Good luck to the rest of you fellow wooters hope you have better luck than we did.

I chatted with HP support and they took me through a weird series of taking out the RAM and putting it back in. I had to leave so, we got cut off. Here's where I got: turn off, take all RAM out, power up. If you get beeps, that's good. power off, put 1 RAM card in. I did this and PC worked. Power off, put RAM card #2 in. At this point, PC still working. This is where I had to leave. So, I just got home and if I put RAM #3 in, PC no workie!

O.K., so final verdict with HP if u have one of these that powers up but nothing happens. First off, I have to say that HP support was awesome. The steps they walked me through worked until i got to the 3rd RAM card. The PC works fine with 4GB, but, when I put the last 2GB card in, it stops working again. HP said there is a hardware issue and they are sending me a box to send it in for repair. Wish it was easier. Good luck. If someone else finds a fix, please post.

I received mine yesterday. Started it up and got the BSOD. Called in to HP support and did a factory restore. Still getting BSOD. Occasionally i can get the OS to start up, but it never consistently starts up properly. HP support is supposed to call me back tonight. They are thinking that they need to ship me a new set of Windows 7 disks.

Anyone else having issues like this?

Yeah, I'm getting mine tomorrow as well, and seeing all these issues showing up is making me start to think this was a bad purchase. :/ I hope it doesn't totally poo on my weekend.

I set mine up yesterday and while it sort of works, I get the BSOD randomly and it will not boot on the first try ever. I have to wait for it to try and boot three or four times before it is successful.

I really don't want to spend all of my time troubleshooting what should be a working unit. Very frustrating!

I installed all Windows 7 updates and nothing has changed. I also set all BIOS settings to factory and nothing changed. This is definitely a hardware issue and I have built enough PC's to know how difficult an issue like this can be to diagnose and resolve.

just an FYI, I was on the phone with HP support and and I am sending the computer to HP tech support. They said that it was faulty RAM that was causing the memory dump. The HP Tech location is supposed to be replacing the RAM and testing the motherboard.

I wonder if they can just exchange the RAM as opposed to sending the whole box? I think will call HP before sending this back to Woot and see what they say.

they said that they would just send out the ram, but i figured id wait a few extra days for them to test out the entire motherboard.

I guess this is a little late for those who wooted this one, but maybe someone will remember next it comes around...

Mine arrived today and one of the first things I noticed ('cos of the switch lights) is that the LAN on this is 10/100 only - no Gbit. Which surprised me; this is the first computer I've bought in the past 3 years without Gbit networking, so I didn't even think of checking!

Update on my issues with the PC not booting at all or loading any of the peripherals. I spent over 3 hours on the phone with HP tech support (Mike from India), but they are still not sure what is wrong, say it can be a memory issue or motherboard issue, so they are sending me out a box to send mine to the repair center in. They are going to repair and send it back to me within 7 to 10 days. Well see!!!!

tech question- Got mine on Friday and I put in a 650 watt power supply, another 2gigs of ram. Graphix card. another cd/dvd burner and a seagate 7200 1tb hardrive.

The pc doesn't recognize the new hardrive when I go to "computer"

When i go to device manager, there are 2 hard drives listed there and I'm not sure if one of them is the partitioned recovery files.

Is this not recognizing the new HD because it is the same exact one? or is there something else i should be doing.

I'm new to SATA and I notice that there are no jumpers for master/slave so I just plugged in all the drives to the SATA ports.

I was really excited at the specs and price, 6GB, quad core, windows7, super DVD, and a wireless adapter on a desktop! Unfortunately, you still get what you pay for, it was DOA, spent hours on the phone with HP headquarters somewhere in a land far far away. So, they are sending me a box to put the dead PC in, ship it to thier repair place, at some point in the future they send it back, by then my refurb warranty will be on life support. Sucs to be me...It seemed to good to be true...

So, much like the rest of the posters, I also have a POS. So, mine booted up and ran initially. The first thing I did was burn recovery disks. Then I ran the windows update and headed off to bed. The next morning, I was greeted by the options of start in safe mode or start in normal mode. Apparently the computer crashed overnight. Since then, I have had many blue screens and abrupt reboots. After many hours of tech support, I ran the system recovery from the hard drive. That failed. Then I tried system recovery from the disks. That failed. Now I have no operating system. The hard drive checks out according to the bios extended self test. So, HP is sending me a new set of recovery disks. How easy is it to just return this to woot and give DELL a call?

Got our tracking email 2 days after the item was delivered. The system seems to be working fine, but there were some weird issues and crashes while transferring files and getting everything set up. Working okay so far though...
