I have been looking at cases, and it suddenly occured to me that the square trade warranty kinda takes place of the case. The main reason I use cases is for protection, and square trade with drop and spill coverage would protect even better.

Is anyone else getting the square trade warranty? Anyone have experience with square trade?

Sorry if this has been brought up earlier

If I may ask... I plan to use your TNT 4.2.3 rom when my G-tab gets here. I just want to be sure of the steps...

*Do not install CWM (Correct?)
1. Install 4.3.0 by copying the update.zip to root, boot to recovery and it should install...

2. Install the 4.3.2 Supplement. Same as above basically.

3. Install the Clemsyn kernel to fix the sleep issue. From what I read I just rename this zip to update.zip and install like the other two?

I know this is really stripped down, still a lot of reading to do, but I can't find a "This is how to install everything you need" type post...

you are pretty much on target, but you need the recovery folder as well. Just read over my TNTL first post for instructions. that custom kernel is an update.zip, as well - but clemsyn probably tests with clockworkmod (just a guess). You might want to flip to clockworkmod for that - I have a way to do that, again in my TNTL first post.

Seems like in cases like these they should have shipped the far away ones first. The fact that some people have theirs already and mine hasn't even shipped yet is pretty disappointing. Ah well. Now I know.

The case keeps it looking nice as well. They wont replace the unit for having a scratched case/screen.

Well, my fedex info just updated, showing Thursday to MA. Wow, what a load that tracking info was, since I was in on this by 8:45AM EST and received an email with tracking number Friday saying "Recently shipped" and now it clearly shows any progress started just this Evening... What's the point Woot? Send the data for tracking but don't adlib.

I have a Square Trade warranty on an ASUS netbook. The battery went bad and ST DENIED the claim. In the fine print of the warranty, it says batteries and chargers are NOT covered. With the dedicated GTab charger and built-in battery, this is a gap in coverage.

Take a look right next to the square trade link, the "Shipped Ground" icon. Other people have mentioned it in previous posts as well.

Seriously, thanks it's my first wootoff and I was concerned for future reference. If it is ground I'm in the next day shipping zone for FedEx Ground. I assume it will be here tomorrow.

It's not a wootoff either! Keep hanging around, you'll get the hang of it eventually.

I trust ya as been using your PDN ROM also.. (until you moved on to GTab I guess)

One thing I would suggest is if you can add your ROM in your signature it would help us all...

Yes, you should be able to. I added it the day after I ordered. (assuming no one has answered you yet...) click on My Account under your username, click on blog next to the Viewsonic link, scroll down to Square Trade link and click on it and use Coupon code EARLY for 20% off.

Well that sucks

I read the conditions briefly yesterday, it mentions that it covers iPod batteries. Maybe they will cover this battery. I think I will send them an email at some point today.

Batteries and chargers not being covered by a warranty are standard. Dell won't cover a battery on a laptop when you have full Complete Care coverage which protects it from drops etc...If you get the accidental coverage from Square Trade, and you battery dies, just spill some water on it, I am sure they will replace it!

Its already 10am over there. Time to finish with your morning coffees and energy drinks and start scanning and sorting those pallets of gTabs Woot dropped off last night! There are thousands of us all around the nation waiting for some tracking info from your humble little warehouse. So start processing them at once!

"Root your Woot!"

That's funny. Reminds me of my Apple-fanboi friend who refuses to acknowledge my new gTablet as anything substantial. He keeps referring to it as my "Woot".

I did the same, added a day after and followed the path that you described. I also used "wizzard25" for an extra 5%. Ended up costing me $41.25 with AD.
