searchneverend wrote:dont even bother with this crap. i have an orignal hand made from silk rug. and those dont cost anything close to $300 or even $1000. i paid $5000 for each. its made in afganistan. i'll post a pic in a few mins. these are machine made and machine made persian rugs sucks. ask any one with the knowledge of these rugs will tell ya that hand woven costs more and lasts longer. with the one i got, i was told that the more people will walk on it, the better its life will get. i have it for about 10 years now and looks even better than when i bought it.

dont not buy these ones. they're a ripoff.

I actually second this. My brother bought a few rugs roughly 6 years ago. One was a hand made wool rug that cost at least $1,500. The other was a machine made wool blend that cost closer to $500. The machine made wool blend is falling apart and has bare patches on it, whereas the handmade wool rug is in fantastic shape with no problems.

Hand made wool is much better than machine made blends and worth the extra $, how much extra varies, and it's up to you if it's worth it.

I looked at these three times before i realized the price was $299.99, not $29.99.

I will not be nice and let me wife know about these now.

I'm totally ditching my Hair Club for Men membership now! A one-time payment of $300 for a rug like that?! Wow!

I think the write-up would have been better if it referenced Rorschach instead of Batman. After all, these rug look just like a Rorschach test.

Upon taking the rug away from Jason..."Give me back my face!"

You're kind of missing your target audience, Woot. Anyone that gives a s**t about Persian rugs is not surfing a daily deal website.

real persian rugs take an enormous amount of skill and manhours to make... this piece of crap is manufactured in china in minutes.

yes it is relatively cheap, but it is a complete rip off. the title is a disrespect to the ancient perisan art.

and you disrespect the Chinese... how rude

Can someone tell me a reason WHY a hand-knotted rug is better than machine made?

Trust me, I have bought cheap deco rugs at Home Depot that I returned in a few months because they fell apart. And, I have one hand-knotted Persian wool rug with veggie dyes that looks great and has lived with us for ten years.

Having said that, what makes a good rug, a good rug?

Hand-knotted rugs are alive, bright and organic.http://www.antiquariusimports.com/lectures-machine-vs-hand.php

BTW, there are people posting about expensive silk rugs. Bugs eat silk. If you have a pet and the pet goes poo on it, all of a sudden you have all the the ingredients of a maggot banquet. Not to mention all the sad tales of children and art supplies. Just saying.

hand made huh? In Romania huh?
Looks like people that made it get pennies where the people that sell it make a fortune ... Maybe they even had them at gun point and got it done for free ...

Get used to one thing bro, in America there is no respect other than respect for money ... Times have changed and last I checked Persia is not exactly Romania, dude ;) ... Time to chill, and while you at it, spend some money to get respect ...

My 3125F Rust rug just came and it is beautiful.

My wife inherited three genuine Persian rugs her great grandfather bought in the early 1900's. I will take this new one any day over the antiques.

It has a heavy dense pile and the $1245.00 price on the label makes it all the more interesting.

I used a hair dryer to get the big label off the back of the rug and a little adhesive residue stuck on the rug. It won't be turned over anyway.
