Just "My $.02"
BTW, congratulations! There are some people who have been on here since 2004 or 2005 who have not managed to get one yet.

YEAH, Like me!
I still never manage to get one! Why the heck is it so hard????!?!?!!!?!!??!?!?
You just keep trying and trying, but you never get it!!!

No reported letter in January, though, either.

Maybe people are keeping it to themselves or maybe Woot was saving all the pallets of car wax for April Fool's again.

What does "No reported letter" mean?

In the past most Bags of Crap have offered letters in 2 lucky wooters box that states;

"Dear Woot Customer, We appologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, however your third item will not fit in this box, and will be shipped seperately. Thank you for understanding, Signed by Woot Gods."

Then a few days later you will receive a Pallet or POC. This can contain many very nice items. Sometimes it has TV's or surround sound systems. Or, other times Woot has showed a sense of humor and sent a pallet of car wax, or hundreds of plastic action figures. You just never know!! At any rate it is the Jackpot when it comes to the Big o' Cosmos.

The last two times that they have offered Big o' Cosmos's there have been no letters reported. Either Woot has not been doing it or people are not reporting the treasure... I sure hope Woot has not stopped with that tradition! Good luck!!

This is probably premature, but a reminder that if you would like to try to track your Big o' Cosmos before you receive an email that it has been shipped go to the FedEx tracking site. Here is what you need:

1. Go to - FedEx Tracking
2. Input your Woot! order number into the "Enter Reference" area
3. Don't worry about the ship date
4. Destination country is a necessity.
5. Destination Postal Code is also necessary.

If you want to know specifics on the box dimensions then you will have to sign up for MyFedEx. Otherwise you will know the approximate weight from your general info. Let me know if I forgot anything.

Bundles of Clones Badges (9): 7/12/08, 11/19/09, 4/1/10, 9/22/10, 3/9/11, 4/1/11, 9/14/11, 10/12/11, 3/22/12

Basically, this.. but don't always trust your dimensions. There have been multiple times that the actual dimensions were completely off from what MyFedEx stated.

Probably after the stuff from this wootoff. That way they can throw the crap that didn't sell, they underestimated how many they had, or just plain old junk into the boxes and have a clean warehouse.... at least that is what I see happening.

Last year there was a woot off just prior to the great woot adventure on 4-1. In the end, they combined the discussions for the two crapfests and I wouldn't be surprised if they do the same here. This would also suggest they would combine the crappy shipping.

I was about to suggest that they combine all the levels into one large thread...we can just post what level we got our crap on in our posts...otherwise the threads will be nowhere near as fun as the big ones (750 people...maybe 40 will post).

Fellow level 8ers: Let's take our posts to the level 10 thread. I know some of you are snobs about level 8, but going to the level 10 thread will let us consolidate on commiseration on the crapperation.

I have a feeling they 'yanked' the servers down once they realized this, which is why everything was offline for a couple of hours early Friday morning.

Then once they figured out what they did wrong and fixed it, they put everything back online again.

I've seen the Butchers' Order of Companions bring the servers down for several minutes before, but never several hours.

That's my theory anyway.

Be patient, Daniel Son.

Usually they are lucky to get shipping info out 5 business days after purchase. Keep in mind this DOES NOT include weekends or holidays, so technically we're on day 2.

Bothering Older Coca-holics usually takes closer to 10 working days, so don't be surprised if it takes at least another week before you hear anything, especially with the woot-off going on right now.

Completely agree. I am just wondering how they missed it right away is all... They had to know everyone was going to get as many as they could...

My guess is that they didn't miss it.. that they had a plan in place and it didn't work. Something obviously got screwed up somewhere but I doubt seriously that they simply "didn't consider it to be a possibility".

Not that this is a slap against Woot! or anything, it's just that things get hectic when Boris' Ovaries of Confusion get involved.

I'm dying here!

I seriously can't wait for my box to ship.

I'm imagining three Woot employees walking along a long line of open boxes; the first, Ida, chainsmokes as she passively drops Bags Of Texas Air in each open box.

The second, Maria, trailing close behind, meticulously lays Transformers Bookmarks in the boxes, conscientiously placing one or as many as twenty-three in each.

And then there's Jr., the evil bastard, who has the goods on the foreman and gets to put the bigger items in each box. Some people he fantasizes about as he drops the equivalent of a lump of coal in each stocking: a headphone set with exposed wires in the box surely destined to go to a Cleveland Browns fan, a Sansa clip with scuff marks on it for the shedevil receiving box #3184, an ipod with cracked glass for the person he imagines is nicknamed Chuckles and taunts neighborhood kids.

And others he rewards for their adulation and praise of his finesse -- Oh, Jr! You're so handsome! We LOVE you! -- These lucky few get the few remaining genius gifts: a tv, an ipad, the awesome coffee maker he secretly wants for himself. He pleases those who love him and scorns those who envy. He is The Wootmaster, and no power in the 'verse can stop him!

Ah, Jr. you lucky bastard. Make it rain, kiddo, make it rain.

Close...

TPW walks out, kicks the warehouse racking and whatever falls from the racking into the boxes is shipped. Then she goes back to her massage therapist and posts a shipping update from her 24k gold ipad3.

Shipped on 4/5/2011, scheduled for 4/9/2011 delivery via FedEx Home Delivery service.

Weight: 1 lbs / 0.5 kgs
Dimensions: 18.25 in. x 12.6 in. x 12 in.

Given the size, it's probably not a one-pound box...

There was some debate earlier about whether there were letters in the January and March crapfests because no one posted on the subject. Some of us speculated that there was either no letters or that we had unworthy recipients (i.e., who did not share their bounty, if at least virtually). Any word on the matter?

Does anyone have the link many, many, many BOCs ago to the YouTube video that the "winner" posted.....the one where he got a bazillion buckets that arrived on, like, 10 pallets and he made a time-lapse video of him unloading them and arranging them??? It was super-kewl how he did it.
