deftoned989 wrote:I walked into my leasing office today to pick up the BOCs, and the manager asks:

Him: "So you're trying to learn how to play guitar, huh?"

Me: "Um, no..."

Him: "Then why did you buy a guitar?"

Me: "..."

So here's my haul:

1 Spectrum Guitar (level 1)
4 Tote bags (levels 1,2,8)
3 baby bottle drying racks (level 8)
1 aqua globe set (level 2)
2 tabletop tripods (level 2)
2 ear warmers (level 8)
1 foam football (level 2)
2 sets of cedar grilling planks (level 8)

The guitar was definitely the coolest thing, though it was evident it had been sitting on a shelf for a LONG time or was a returned item. The portable (probably piece of Battlefield Earth (2000)) amp that was supposed to be included was not. No clue how much it's worth, but I guess I'll take up guitar in the near future.

Not being greedy here, just curious: the guitar box was my level 1 crap. It had a single tote bag in it. Technically, aren't I supposed to receive 2 more craps?

edit: For clarification, I don't care about getting 2 more craps, I am just curious for future craps. I have enough crap at the moment.

How many BOCs did you pay for? Oh and what was the original weight of your shipment?

A Coworker's Big o' Cosmos came in the mail at the same time as mine (we get our stuff delivered to the office). The secretary brings my Big o' Cosmos to me..

Secretary: "Wow your stuff is bigger than [coworker name]'s"

Me: "That's what she said"

I really, really urge you to unpack the purse and everything else that has any filling, and look under the box flaps. For awhile there getting a baseball card was associated with getting The Letter. My card was for Rollie Fingers, although it came inside the Great White Envelope, with The Letter. Others reported the same thing.

If one gets this letter saying that there is another box coming on the way, would that box show up in the FedEx tracker?

Generally, no. It is usually large enough that it is sent FedEx Freight, and will require a phone call to arrange delivery.

Is the letter needed to receive the item, or is it just to let you know it's coming?

I'm waiting on my first ever Barrel of Crustaceans. woot says mine weighs in at 2.6 lbs. It's still listed as not being picked up. My roommate also has a Big o' Cosmos coming. His said 4.7 lbs, but FedEx says it's 3.7 lbs. It seems odd that mine isn't showing as in transit.

I'm really curious to see if my package shrinks or grows. lol

1 - Black/White Zebra bag

Best of luck to those still waiting.

Nothing that I could find right now...

I searched everything including opening the Woot cedar boards

The bottom of the box is not sealed totally. So it could have easily fallen out.

That would suck!!!

To the best of my understanding, it's gonna come whether you "get" the letter or not. But the letter alerts you to be expecting a call from FedEx freight to schedule a time to be home and accept delivery.

May the Crap be with you all!!!

Soooooooooooo...I did a little sleuthing tonight. No car wax delivery or otherwise. I signed up for myfedex to try and get dimensions and, according to 1-800 notes, they may have been calling me for setting up a new account. No pre-letter bonanza here!

I still look forward to my 8.6 lb 14x14x14 Big Orphaned Cetacea.

Level 10 Crap to arrive Tues the 12th. So far, the measurements are 17.8 in. x 12.7 in. x 12.2 in. and says 6,7 lbs. so I guess I'll find out the exact poundage next week. I can't believe they mailed them out so fast. I haven't even had time to think about them, and already they're arriving on people's doorsteps. My question is this...Do only people who live near TX get the letters? I live on the East Coast, and don't anticipate getting one either way, but wondered if they only do it for people in surrounding areas and just over the TX state border. Anyone?

My first Big o' Cosmos, so exciting! Here's what I got:

2x 6 packs of grilling planks
2x handcrank powered flashlights w/ detachable pocket knives and phone charger attachments (none of which I can use)
2x HDMI cables
3x headphone splitters
2x earmuffs
a small handbag
and an instruction manual for a bluetooth headset (but no headset). Cruel april fool's day joke, woot?

Regardless, very cool. I've been waiting for the grilling planks to come back, so I was happy to get two. Already had some earmuffs, but I'm likely to lose them anyways. Needed an HDMI cable, and I can't wait to try getting four people to listen to an MP3 player at once. Kinda bummed about the headset though. Would've been nice to have a rechargeable one since the one I have that is currently collecting dust takes a QUADRUPLE A battery. Oh well. Thanks for everything else though!
