And, for the record, I loved this April Fools adventure. Im not sure how people can get so upset about a game of some skill and a lot of luck. Some of the time you could go between two obstacles by hitting up and down really fast to stay in the middle of the road.

Yes, it sucked that the game was broken for 3-4 hours between 12:30 and 3/4 AM. Yes, I too got to level 5 when all you needed was level 3, and I was annoyed when it didn't work. *shrug*

To all the people raging about "Your business" and what great customers you are, and how they have lost your business. Seriously? You're really going to freak the hell out for a chance at pocket lint from the CEO? I can't believe the HUGE amount of whiners. If you have been a member for 3+ years with under 10 purchases, I am sure they won't sweat seeing you leave. A disproportionate amount of people complaining rarely ever buy. I'm betting you are people that ONLY buy when there is a Big o' Cosmos. Sorry to inform you, you're not the "meat and potatoes" that supports Woot. Please DO leave. If you only buy when there is a Big o' Cosmos I would rather you leave -- so the people that regularly shop Woot have a better chance of being rewarded or having some fun getting a Big o' Cosmos.

Don't let the door hit ya where the Lord split ya.. as the saying goes.

I'm just curious as to whether there will be any difference in the quality and/or randomness of the BoCs based on their Level. It will be fun to compare notes as the packages come in (I'll be receiving a Level 2 bag).

3 bags!
This will go down in history!

Thanks Woot!

I'm probably going to get smacked around for this, but got my three the exact same way, except Level 10 instead of Level 9. All on the same account.

Regarding the multiple purchases, what presumably made this different than other times is that each level was considered a separate item - so, if you could get multiple bags by buying one from each level. If you tried to get two during the same level, I would guess that you'd be block from getting the second.

Crazy night - Thanks again Woot!

PS Now, the real April Fools action will probably come when we start opening our boxes up!

This was most awesome fun. I beat level 7 when all I needed was level 5 - I did this on my second try with the music turned off - somewhere around 4am CST.

Once I turned on the audio I could never get past level 3. I can only assumed the soundtrack was some kind of mind numbing Band of Cacophony.

Bravo, woot! Throughly enjoyed myself.

Yes, I was up for Woot Servers' "FAIL-A-PA-LOO-ZA '11" this morning and it sucked, but I found something to keep me company while waiting for them to get things back online.

Eventually they did and I scored a level 4 crap. I had actually passed level 4 previously but because of server woes it didn't register so I had to play it again.

It took me about 8 tries to finally beat level 4, and I died halfway through level 5 (level 1 recycled). I got the 'sold out alarm' literally half a second after clicking the BIG BUTTON but it went through... and then I went and passed out.

Those of you who were complaining about having to play the Jatravartid game for hours.. well just be glad you weren't on this morning when you couldn't even LOAD the game!

I actually had a chance to auto-buy a level 1 before the servers went offline (didn't even know about the game yet) but I opted NOT to buy one because I didn't understand what the level thing meant as I hadn't had time to read the description yet.

So while remembering previous April Fools woots in the past, I decided to read the description before buying (for all I knew a level 2 crap might have been better than a level 1 crap and I didn't want to waste my one shot on that).

Anyway.. long story short I lost my chance at the level 1 crap, but I got a level 4 crap later on anyway so I'm happy!

I also made some Amazon purchases while waiting for Woot to work again, so unfortunately I'm supporting the cause! hah

Steve was DELICIOUS!

My first attempt at Big o' Cosmos. Will someone tell me - was there a secret way to succeed (to get around or over when both lanes had objects)? I don't play video games and since it's April Fools' Day I'm guessing there was something I'm missing. Can someone tell me in "lay" terms what I should have done. I'm working on two hours of sleep because of this!

Although I didn't win, I like the fact that by the time a normal, working human being would be up and about, there were stills Big o' Cosmos's left. Blasted bots didn't snipe them all within the first mere seconds of launch. I would kindly ask woot to continue these fun adventures for the enjoyment of the experience, but more importantly, to thwart all those dang auto-buy bots.

Dear Woot--
We faithful Wooters appreciate your desire to bring something a little more creative and interactive to the process of grabbing a Big o' Cosmos. We even appreciate this attempt occurring as a part of an April Fools joke. However, when the joke becomes cruel and unusual punishment, we must protest. Your servers this evening have acted like a waiter his first night on the job. Slow as molasses, good service is not available and the order never goes through right the first time. As a gesture of good will on your part, perhaps a nifty discount code could find its way to our email inboxes sometime in this next week or so. THANKS!

Did you read the Big o' Cosmos product description?! Clearly WOOT has no interest in fixing their server problems, they just want to hear you complain some more. So I suggest posting your message again, but with a little more slander and threats. They really get a kick out of that! Besides, if you think you've been given "cruel and unusual punishment", refer to HOLY CRAP COMMANDMENT: V. To paraphrase Stephen Stills, shalt thou not get the crap you want, want the crap you get.

Repeat after me, "I want to buy crapy product from an online server that is unreliable, slow, and requires unfathomable patience. I don't ever want to successfully get that crapy product because then I would have even less to compain about."

I'm curious as well. I'm getting a level 1, my wife a level 10.

I rather doubt though, that they will be able to differentiate. There were more than 7000 craps, right? About 700+/- per level?

I loved the game idea, the fact that you occasionally could not proceed due to a double block was deliciously devious.

And the fact 1000s of people were posting a link into their browsers up to 400 times was even more devious :D, are we sure that wasn't intentional?

Well not only that, but the link was posted multiple times with multiple people saying it worked, but you had to refresh A LOT (anywhere from 2 - 1000 times). Some people tried ten times, then gave up saying the link didn't work. I bet those are the same people complaining about the loophole advantage squad.

People -- you know, don't you, that when you get to order, everyone (who gets thru) gets ONE ORDER, for Three Dollars plus Shipping, no matter what quantity you think you might have entered. Basically, you get ONE BAG (of some sort) and THREE CRAPS .... of course, I can't speak to the situation where some individuals played more than once and/or used multiple accounts, and possibly got more than one Big o' Cosmos.

Did no one read The Holy Crap Commandments v.3.0? It IS required reading, you know. Some people get a nice bag, some people get a garbage bag. Some people get two craps, some people get five.

The Game of Bucket of Cabbage is all about the thrill of the hunt, not what you actually shoot. And after Big o' Cosmos's are received, it's fun to find out what everyone got. Am I disappointed that I didn't win the chance to buy? Yes, I am. But I'm also lucky enough to have bought 3 (or 4?) Baskets of Corn in The Early Years. Ah, the memories; Things were different back then...........

I don't know who peed in your corn flakes. I did indeed read the product description and the crap commandments. I have no problem with the commandments as they are stated. In fact, I'm not even whining about playing the game for an insane amount of time. I'm not whining at all. Commandment IV acknowledges "IV. Thou shalt not expect better crap just because things are different this time. Crap is crap."
I'm not expecting better crap just compensation for those that were playing within the posted rules and were not allowed to get their reward. Posting rules could be considered a contractual agreement and I'm surprised the product description made it past the guys in legal. "Each level of the game has a certain number of Bags O’ Crap allotted to it. When the Level 1 bags are sold out, we’ll move on to Level 2, and so on. You have to complete that level of the game in order to buy a Bag O’ Crap. If you fall short, you’ll have to start again at the beginning. It’ll go on like that through Level 10, when all the Bags O’ Crap will be sold out."
