I have to say, this woot looks tempting. I bet it would help a lot with a deck, but then I think, I already have one and I'm pretty sure I have one that plugs in, and I really don't think we need more than that.

I was just looking at pictures of stone decks. I wonder how expensive that is.

Well, another day has passed and I didn't use algebra once.

As with any project - type, quality, and quantity of materials can vary the price widely.

Pricy because you have to calculate weight to ensure the support system is sufficiently strong.

Lynnie! I was looking for you.
I got my frontline from a vet a year ago. There are no expiration dates . Is it still good?
This vet seems to sell a lot of the stuff. He'll match anyone's price.

Isn't the glass for view situations? If I remember, you don't really have a view.

howdy

right - there is no expiry date on frontline

and terrif that he price-matches for you. esp since the active ingredient (fipronyl) went off-patent this year and walmart and sams is selling a product with the exact same ingredient in it now. haven't heard anything about it yet tho.

well...not a good enough view to warrant glass balusters. I didn't really look very well at railings. That will be a question that needs to be answered before we put on the composite decking.

How high of the ground is it gonna be? State/County code may dictate what you can/can't do.

The highest point will be about 3 feet off the ground.

ok, so after 4 years of using Advantix on my dogs, Santana seems to be having some type of reaction to it. Not sure if its just psychological or what, but he has been acting weird - clingy, mopey - ever since I put it on him. dammitalltohell. His vitals are good, color is good...think I am just gonna ignore it and see if he is just being a pouter.

I suspect you'll need railing and ballisters for any portion not less 18" off the ground.

Ewww, I was going to switch, since the cat isn't here. That is how I still have 6 frontline left. Used advantix in the dead of summer last year. Then the doctor gave me liquid heartworm, because he is allergic to the flavoring in the tablet. In the winter the flea and tick stuff in the heartworm was strong enough.
But this month he got both. I am out of the heartworm drops, so I told the vet, screw it, he finds stuff on the street to eat. I rather give him the pill, that he loves. Let him get soft stool the next day.
Because at this time of year it would be heartworm , 2 weeks later flea and tick, 2 weeks later heartworm.....too much greasy fur! Too many
times I have to wash all his blankets and the sofa, so we don't get the meds on us.

Maybe I'll just use advantix if we are going someplace with extra ticks.

Most people on the block don't have railings on the steps and we have 3 steps. It seems we are under the code amount.

I like Advantix cuz I think it does a better job than Frontline. I put it on the dogs when they are gonna be outside for a while, so it is dry before they come back in with the kitties. It is only a problem for the cats if they ingest it, and I do have a few cats who like to bathe their dogs. Once it is absorbed in to the dogs' skin it isn't an issue.

As for the greasy spots on the fur, after a day or so just wash the greasy spots off. Won't affect the medication.

Have you tried Interceptor for heartworm? not as tasty as Heartgard but not full of the flavoring.

It also depends on when the steps or whatever are put in...a lot of places, if something is built to code, and then the code changes to be more stringent, there's no requirement to bring it up to the new code...at least, not until some other work is being done anyway.

I'd double-check, just to be safe.
