Yes she has stayed with us a couple of summers. We very are close to both her and her sister.
Good morning everyone. Dog had a good night, no puddles and hasn't drained his water dish

Morning!
Fabulous weekend.
Nothing blew up at work over the weekend.
Yay!

Heat the oven up to the baking temp, put the cake back in for about 5 minutes. Remove, put it on a wet towel (hear the sizzle!) for a minute or two, then invert it on a cooling rack.

If that doesn't work (and I will cross my fingers for you!), try freezing it. Works--but take a long time and then you have wait for it to defrost for glazing/frosting and serving.

pooflady wrote:I preheated the oven and went to pick up the cake pan. (Did I mention this was a bundt pan?) And half of it stayed on the plate. So I put the rest in the oven and then on the wet towel. Nothing. Pounded on the bottom with a knife handle and most of the rest came out. Kind of fit the pieces together, heated the glaze and poured it on. Good thing only friends will see it.
From reading things on the Internet, I think my mistake (at least one of them) was using cooking spray for the "grease and flour" part. From now on will use shortening. Although several online people say butter. (And it's difficult flouring a bundt pan.)
Yes, you'd mentioned it was a bundt pan.
I have a few recipes that are just stubborn. But, I always use butter and a bit of either flour or, for chocolate cakes, cocoa.

Morning, Wootlings. Sorry to hear about your cake, pooflady. I had serious stickiness problems with my last few cake attempts, too. =(

I think you should hold out for a giant cookie.

I'm still holding out hope.
Maybe on the anniversary.

Technically, the top layer of the cake is what we're supposed to have for dessert then.
I'm not a big fan of tiramisu cake though. I'll suck it up, I guess.
We'll be in Disney World that day, so it makes planning easy.
Cake?!? Who's talkin' about cake.
