And the least expensive! You should have just skipped the kids and gotten a dog.
Still single, can't imagine why.

When it comes to chicken thighs, simple is best.

I don't think we have a clear flat surface in the house!

If you don't want to accumulate more stuff than you have room for, never move to a larger place.

Better yet, never let your stuff make you think you need more space.

In this apartment that is the only option - small kitchen doesn't begin to describe it!
We have a kitchen 'cause it came with the house, hardly use it 'tho we both like to cook.

Way bigger than our apt kitchen, but not much for a house.
I don't understand the houses built after WWII.
Every meal came from home. You brought lunch from home at work and school. No eating out at all. Somehow all the houses built in the late 40's and 50's had small, poorly planned kitchens.
I remember when I was growing up we ate out maybe once or twice a year.

pooflady wrote:If that. And that was before fast food places. Even when our kids were growing up, we hardly ever ate out. Maybe McD's or the like once a month. Maybe. Just couldn't afford it.
But I've found since the kids left and money's not quite as tight so that I don't HAVE to cook seven nights a week, I enjoy it a lot more, enjoy trying new recipes.
We, too, rarely ate out. There was a place not far from us that sold five burgers (bun, meat patty, pickle, mustard, catsup) and a gallon of cola for $5.00. It was high life time when we went there.
