Thank you this is good to know. I'm gonna pass this on to the primary care giver. (Mrs.Ice)

If you're gonna be here, there's no game. If you're not, it's another game.

Our dog is getting NPH, the same as people. Got it at Walgreens

was at an antique show...and flea market, as it is now being touted. buncha junk. didn't buy nuttin.
It's a junk economy right now. Folks are sellin' crap just for groceries and savin' valuable stuff for better (or even more desperate) times.

Lynnzoi wrote:cats - usually Lantus (glargine) or some vets still use PZI (cats do better on a pork based or pork-beef based insuin). And diet - cats do well on a high-protein diet - they do not need carbs. Dogs don't do well on high-protein, and need to be on a high-fiber diet to help with their diabetes control.
dogs - NPH, sometimes Lente (dogs respond to human insulins better than cats do). Was an insulin out specifically for them that has gotten pulled cuz there were issues with the stability and mixing of it.
Is there a brand of food you'd recommend? Our vet says any good senior dry food. We're using Science Diet.

Thank you again you've been very helpful!

On the weather front, we had marble sized hail this morning as well as high winds/driving rains. It has since setteled into a cold steady rain with temperatures in the upper 40's.

altho a rainy week is forecast
I'm glad someone is getting good weather today
It'll be cold and rain for us tomorrow as well. We do need the rain 'cause in another month or so we'll get none until fall.

No rain. No hail. Just cold, cloudy, and dreary.
you are about 30 miles (or so) south and a little west of me.
It has rtained constantly here all day.
We had another round of hail, pea sized this time, about an hour ago. Just wicked thunder and flooding rain right now.
That's the 3rd time it has hailed today.
