We bought this on last woot-off for son's game room tv to replace the tube tv. It has performed well with no issues. We have a 50" plasma in our family room, and i have to agree with others that at 32" 720p is hard to tell the difference. Especially when he uses PS3 and blueray movies, the quality is impossible to tell the difference. I would recommend based on our experience. Hope this helps those wondering if they should go for it.

We have been in many wine libraries with no books, yet so very much to learn...

I forgot about the ridiculous avatars. Using FireFox, equipped with AdBlocker Plus, block "avatar.woot.com" (had to peek at my settings to see what I'd done) and they'll be gone.

Dude, a 32 inch TV is small... whether it was 1080p or 720 you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. I have a TV larger than this one and when I switch from 1080p to 720 there is no way you or anyone could tell which setting it was on unless you were planting your face up against the screen.

Scientists have determined that the sole determining factor in whether or not you can tell the difference between 720p and 1080p is which kind of TV you bought.

Those who buy 720p will tell you there's no difference, and those who buy 1080p will tell you that there is.

It's really that simple.

BTW, 1080p looks better no matter what the chart says.

Unfortunately, the explanation of Quality Posts is not entirely true either...I have had at least 2 instances where my post showed up on the main item page, and never ended up adding to my Guide Entry count. It's like points on the TV show "Whose line..." They don't matter, but you feel obligated to try to have more....

Most TVs are designed to be seen at a distance of greater than 3 feet, so if you have it mounted on the wall and your desk is a little ways back it'll be fine. That saidm do you REALLY need 32 inches for a computer moniter? I'd go for a 1080p moniter that's a bit smaller.

I can tell the difference....

Text is much easier to read on my 1080 TV.

Also I actually do sit about 4 feet or so from my TV when I'm watching a bluray or surfin the nets so....

Maybe if you were watching a 32" from 15 feet away or something you couldn't tell.

Not everyone does that though. Its pretty minimal, just sayin... I can tell.

I have two similar Vizio televisions and they've been excellent. My only suggestion when you buy one would be to turn off the features that automatically adjust the backlighting and audio based on room conditions - they are wonky and never worked right for me.

Without getting overly technical of the hows and whys, often a 720P TV will actually be CLEARER than 1080P because again, marketing hype has consumers convinced that it is always better. Upconversion is one that always comes to mind. Upconverted video often is pixelated compared to the non-upconverted. There are other artifacts as well. NOTHING is broadcast in 1080P. It is all 1080i and will be that way for many, many years to come.

Vizio 32” 720p LCD HDTV (2 of them), Seagate 750GB SATA/300 7200RPM Hard Drive, SiliconDust HDHomeRun Dual Digital HDTV Tuner, Kodak Theater HD Player, Acer Aspire One 10.1” Netbook, Philips Prestigo 8-Device Universal Remote, Asus Eee PC 900 Netbook with 1.6GHz Atom Processor, Philips Upconverting DVD Player with DivX and HDMI, Ashley Rock Axe Full Size Rockband and Guitar Hero Controller for PS2 and PS3, Philips Icon 5 Device Universal Remote, and a bunch of other carp.

You save a couple dollars and get it from a seller you trust.
