Reporting from New York here on the receipt of my anniversary crаp.

7.1lbs as per FedEx but unconfirmed arrived earlier today in a poorly sealed box (so a possibility of small item(s) being missing.)

The rundown:

Not sure if it is clear from this shooting angle, but Mr. Batman is in flight on this shot - hoovering over the rest of the crаp. The propeller appears still because the flash had "frozen" it as it goes on for a very short fraction of a second...

I was trying to get a better shot, but operating two remote controls at once (for batman and for camera) appeared to be a bit harder a task then I originally imagined.

All in all I'm very happy. I never had a toy like this as a child, and could never justify it these days as my girls are completely uninterested in this kind of stuff!

Got mine today, sealed nicely in an official woot box.
I got the usual, 1 set pet brush, 1 laptop pad, 1 strawberry bag and 1 super awesome batman copter!
My random item is a sealed Kensington sd100 docking station. I was pretty stoked at first, because I would love a docking station for home, but it doesn't have anything for monitors, which makes it a glorified USB hub.

All in all, very happy with my ultra crappy crap!

The laptop cooler is intriguing, and I'm glad I got a neutral color.

The USB light claims "The faster you type the brighter the light." Unforunately, it is also "Compatible with Windows XP and 2000." I might have to upgrade my Windows ME machine (ha ha). I'll have to see if Win7 compatibility mode is good enough.

All in all, no complaints.

My Big o' Cosmos spent 36 quality hours at the FedEx sorting facility in Chino, CA, then took a nice leisurely 6 hours to get from Chino to Los Angeles. As a result, my delivery date has been pushed back from 5/27 to 5/31. Boohoo!

As Stumpy91 tells, there is a design defect in Batman to keep the batteries from making contact. If you don't have an exacto knife handy and want to play with a temporary solution, put a bit of aluminum foil between the AA battery + terminal and the contact on the remote.

Pretty envious of those wooters who got the portable hard drives, scanners, and even the screwdriver sets... I got the following standard items:

Ironically, I own a teapot for flowering teas, but I abhor earl grey. It may end up being Freecycled.

so my Big Orphaned Cetacea was returned to sender saying it was an invalid address. Dunno why, I've had plenty of stuff shipped here from woot before. I've contacted woot services, giving an alternate address if that would help. anyone know what I should expect?

Anyone have any insight into fixing this Batman problem?

Batteries perform great (charging and all).
However, he spins a lot and I've trimmed as much as I can.....I think he's out of balance, but I can't figure out where.
Also, he has a tendancy to fall over backwards mid "flight" (probably still a balance issue). I by flight I mean he'll get a few inches off the ground and then turn over in such a way that the top propellers hit the ground and he'll start bouncing.

His first flight was going good until I screwed up and he wrecked. So I thought it was just something that was bent....but more and more, I'm thinking he's out of balance. But I don't see any broken parts....he looks intact.

Heh, while I appreciate the offer, we're doing ok with no batman.

The kids toolkit that we got has been so great... we spent most of the afternoon with my daughter comparing her play tools to those in my workshop, building lego castles and using the square and level to make sure every thing was lined up properly. Using her drill to 'fix' all the loose parts of the Dora house. My three year old now knows the difference between channel locks and pipe wrench

Our routine normally includes a cartoon before dinner and one before story time before going to bed. My daughter had zero TV today and she didn't mind one bit (although we did sneak in a little Angry Birds). And for that... best $8 ever.

Sounds like he fell off the wagon again. That is what happens when Robin is not around. Yep, that's right. Robin always kept the booze hidden. Dang it!
