Please don't try to make cookie dough with a Ninja. It may replace a blender and a food processor, but you need a mixer to handle the glutens in cookie dough.

Mine arrived today. It has a large hole in the 48 oz pitcher.

Mine arrived yesterday with a chip in the 48 oz pitcher. Emailed Woot waiting for response. I am sure they will make it right.

Gosh, when they previously had the Euro Pro Ninja Master Prep (refurb) and I bought it, the containers had so many little gashes and nicks, it looked pretty used, and I returned it.

Now I tried a second time with this one, which arrived today. The small prep bowl arrived broken, with the plastic bits rattling around in the box.

I was so looking forward to testing this baby out! :-

Mine also arrived broken (the 48 oz pitcher.). Half of it is just gone. Wonder if it has anything to do with them not actually packaging the product? A label was just stuck on the Ninja box.

Upon further inspection, my small pitcher is also missing a portion of itself. Only the middle pitcher arrived intact. They're also extremely scuffed up, but that's something I'd expect from a refurbished food processor.

So, what is the process if one of the parts is broken? Do they take the whole thing back?

No idea, I emailed them this morning and haven't gotten a reply yet.

That really stinks for those that got broken ones. I got mine yesterday (was sitting in a package mail box all day saturday, grabbed it sunday). I did the same that most seem to do - clean it and tried to make snow. Did it without a problem. Made a few smoothies, again without problem. The plastic looked all brand new here, though I didn't have an instruction manual (easily solved).

I have a gut feeling it won't last (plastic gear) but it did a seriously impressive job on these first few items.

Have you checked your spam/junk folder? They are very good at responding, usually the same or next business day.

I could have walked to pick this item up in person compared to how it is supposed to coming to me. It's now been 10 days!!! I don't know who has it, FedEX or the post office and you don't answer any emails with my questions. My first purchase is rapidly becoming my last.

Patience is a virtue, I too am still waiting but my ETA on my Ninja was May 27. I expect yours if you are still waiting will arrive about he same time as mine. Some things take longer than other, but it always feels like the thing you want the most takes the longest every time.

Received mine today. Was a little worried after reading some post. However, it was in great shape. Looked like it was brand new.

Worked well on my test at lunch, turned ice into snow in a few pulses. No chunks that i noticed.

Sorry, weak excuse- but our guy who manages the spare parts was out and we were a little shorthanded yesterday. Looks like we got back to you today- please let us know if you didn't get that email.

Got mine today - seems like all is well. I think my first snow/smoothie attempt was too much liquid and not enough ice, but it worked just fine. No missing pieces or chipped plastic, but it does look used.

You all had me scared!

Mine arrived in great shape, but it looks like it was repacked in a haphazard way.

I tried to go to the support site to DL the manual, but you need to supply a "model" from the drop down menu, and there is no model listed! Anyone have the link to it?

Mine arrived today and I have to say that I'm disappointed. I bought one a couple of months ago on woot that was recertified. That one worked like a champ and looked great. I gave it to a family member when this one came up for sale since I liked the color better. Looks like there is a big difference from recertified to refurbished.

The big pitcher has a chunk broken off from the inside of it. It looks like the blades did the damage on that one during shipping. The small container is just plain gross with old food and more scuffs that one would think it was possible to make with the blades. The blades have small dots of rust on them and crusty chunks of left over food.

It arrived in the ninja box with a shipping label on it. I've got to say that this is the first purchase from woot that I've been disappointed with. Off to email service@woot.com

Well, mine arrived today and I had my fingers crossed, but it wasn't enough. While the small and large prep bowls look o.k at first glance, the pitcher is in a word: disgusting. There are pieces of old food all over inside the pitcher and the pitcher is all scratched up on the inside. It's really disappointing since the first thing I wanted to do is make a smoothie. If this is what Euro-pro calls "factory recertified" then I have to wonder if they even look at their product when its repackaged.

I'm sad to say I'll so sending you an email too woot, and Euro-pro one as well.

Sorry to hear of those who received filthy or broken containers. Mine arrived with only one minor gouge on the inside of the 40 oz pitcher (from the loosely packed blade assembly) but everything looked clean. I haven't used it yet, so I hope the power head is functional...

I just got an email back as well, super speedy at that. I was also issued a refund since theu couldn't replace mine either.

Seriously Woot, it's your customer service on top of all the great folks and deals here that keeps me coming back. On a scale of 1-10, I think you break the scale and put all other customer service to shame.

Woot cust service sent me the missing link, but thanks!

Speaking of missing links, it sure looks like the refurbs were re-packed by a bunch of apes. There were clearly defined places to put the bowls, but they seemed to disregard them. I'm fairly sure they did not move around in the box.

Hoo boy. Such a disappointment. The plastic gizmo on the motor that turns the blades totally stripped itself of any usefulness on the second use of this machine. I put in an email to rma; I hope that a return of my $ is in my future.

Everything arrived intact, but it seems to me that the "refurbishing" effort was barebones.

The "power head" was not clean, with some oily substance on part of it and a few small flakes of crusty residue on the on'off pulse button.

It seems that someone used the motor/drive assembly and the 49 oz pitcher for some kind of weird experiment -- like on the Dave Letterman show: "Will it grind?" The interior of the pitcher is thoroughly pockmarked with tiny scratches, scars and blemishes, and the knife edges of the large blade assembly show a few blemishes or nicks. Does that happen when ice is ground in this device?! It seems like someone tried to grind up rocks or other hard objects.

The remainder of the contents of the package were fine.

My ninja arrived on the 5/24 had to make a trip to my local post office to pick it up... FYI NYC postal workers are lazy! So my newborn and I took a stroll and picked up 5/27.

Anyhoo, as I unpacked the ninja I noticed the 40 oz. and 48 oz. pitchers had a couple scratches and each also had a small but sharp indentations cut into the grooves on the inside of the pitchers but it looks as if poorly packed blades are what caused these defects. The small cup and motor look brand new.

I have contacted Woot regarding to the hazardous sharp indentations.
I would really like a replacement but I don't know if it would be worth the cost to shipback. Now that I'm watching the Ninja kitchen system 1100 infomercial (its more blender like so no pulsing it does everything this one does plus makes dough!) I rather spend my money on that instead.

Update: I recieved my replacement Pitcher and it was also broken. It looks like whoever packed it put the blades inside the pitcher, the blades bounced around during shipping and cracked the pitcher. Woot said they do not have any more replacements so they refunded my money.

Well, I used my Ninja for ice today for the first time to make a fruit smoothie.

Eh

I got chunks of ice in it. It did NOT "pulverize" the ice. It was annoying trying to drink my smoothie spitting out chunks of ice.

Is there anything I can do to make them smaller? Maybe I did something wrong?

I broke it! The thing was great, best chopper I have had in many years but I broke it. I didn't have the cover on quite right and the fitting on the blade and on the motor are shot.
