PLEASE NO MORE TVS!! It seems like every time I log on, there's a TV for sale. How many TVs can the average person use? Admittedly, there are some people who probably can use a lot, but the average Joe or Josephine?

It looks like this going to be a two day wootoff and woot just let the cat out of the bag a day early.
Don't worry woot, only a few thousand people noticed.

On the poll: I would vote for short, more frequent wootoffs if there was always a BOC, but since that probably can't happen I voted for two day ones.
In reality, I love not knowing when they will end. I would have voted for "Keep it random!"

Yeah, obviously we ran the wrong poll question today. My fault. Since Amazon would probably never let a mistake like that slip through, I'm hoping it earns us a little indie cred.

I have only a little interest in another bad old cat. I've gotten one and it really was crap. The fun was in the winning it and waiting for it.

I miss the cool, weird stuff. And stuff cheap enough that I can buy on a whim. LeakFrogs, BBQ tool set, a nutritional scale.

I can find a tv or computer on sale at a hundred other places. And it'll be the one I actually want. $200+ items aren't ones I'd buy on a whim because woot has a decent price.

Three thoughts:

1 - Move the mighty Big o' Cosmos around so it isn't at the same time every woot-off.

2 - I miss the random usb powered junk that sold out in 8 seconds. Where has the usb powered fish tank and Candi the usb powered pole dancer gone?

3 - I am tired of the items that last 2 hours on a woot-off. Keep it rolling.

The Big o' Cosmos should definitely be moved around - it's really boring to have it go the same time every woot-off, especially as it is during my commute and I've got no chance at one on my phone.

I have to agree that when I first joined the site (just over a year ago, I think) I thought the woot-offs had more interesting stuff. Now it feels like the same stuff every time, and I don't spend much time watching the site.

More randomness. A 6 hour one, a 3 day one a 1 day one. Switch it up.

They are too predictable now. Y'all have been following the same pattern for too long

Love woot-offs. Anytime, any length.

How about something new and exciting - a SATURDAY woot-off

I would prefer shorter Woot-offs if they happened more often. However, there should still be a couple of wootoffathons each year.

Sadly, I'm going to echo a few previous posters. The Woot-offs have gotten pretty boring.

The fun used to be in never knowing when the bag was coming, combined with the plethora of low dollar items that one could, indeed, impulse buy. I, for one, don't typically make $300 purchases for the hell of it. $10, or $15, or even $25, though? You bet. Time was, I wouldn't be jerking around writing a post here because I'd miss three or four items. This time around, there've been a grand total of 39 items in the 25 hours I've been watching. Blah.

The length of the Woot-off is inconsequential if there's a stream of products that are interesting. If it's just a recap of the last week or month or two months of regular Woots, so what?

Do I, and will I continue to, hang around for the not so elusive bag? Yup. Was my last one pretty cool? Sure. So I guess you've got me, which is the point, but I'm not having fun anymore, which should worry you.

HaHa! You are kidding right?

As to the Big o' Cosmos complainers. More bags = crappier crap. We do NOT want more bags. Big o' Cosmos are fun because if you get something, you will get something worth at least $8, and there is a good chance you will get something really cool. Why people think there are limitless resources is beyond me.

Still single, can't imagine why.

I would like a list of Woot-off items. I only see about 10% of them. If I knew something good was coming I could look for it or check back more often.

How about you do a Woot-off. But instead of a Woot-off it will consist of one product for the day. I know it sounds like the regular stuff but bear arms with me here. Big o' Cosmos. is by far the most popular item you've ever sold right? I mean, usually it takes an hour or less and they are all gone. so for a Woot-off, lets do a Big o' Cosmos. off. that way it'll last longer and I'll have a shot at it.

Thoughts?

But then everyone would know when the good stuff was coming and you'd have too much competition to ever score anything good. Maybe the 1st woot-off item should be a PDF of the woot-off items. $15 maybe? That way, you could pay $15 to see what was coming if it was worth it to you. That price would discourage most folks from buying, so you'd have an advantage. Of course woot would have to be fast about emailing the PDF to the buyers to make it work.

How much would you pay for a list of the woot-off items in the order they will appear?

I miss Happy Hour a bunch. Those were always fun and a nice way to end my day. Bring back Happy Hour!

I also think Woot-Offs should be random. Start on different day, make some half a day, others two days, around Christmas time a three-day blow out or something. (How come Woot never does anything for Black Friday?). I'm also tired of BOCs always showing up at the same time and in EVERY Woot-Off. Shake it up. Offer the Big o' Cosmos in the morning or don't even offer one at all. I don't think making it so EVERYONE gets a Big o' Cosmos like some on here are suggesting is fair at all. It is a race and a game. There are SUPPOSE to be losers, so they can just deal with it.

Also to me Woot-Offs have been getting boring. TV followed by Computer, followed by Computer, followed by TV, followed by Mice...break up the monotony! The things that make Woot-Offs exciting are items flying by. Get cheaper items ($30 and under) and offer them in a row for a couple hours, then break with a computer or something. Letting three hours roll by with maybe 4 items up is boring.

Signatures are harshing my mellow.

Split up the items in the day so we dont have to wait hours to see the next item. Then put the bigger items at late night, so we don't miss the other items.

I hate seeing an item I been waiting for was on 2 hours at 3 am.

I agree with all about the times of the b-o-cs. I'm on the East Coast and every single time it's come around I'm in the car driving home from work. I've been a member for 4 years, participated in every wootoff, and never got a Big o' Cosmos. Maybe going back to random times would stop some of the bots. Or maybe adding a "weird mushed up word" verification like so many other sites do?

I miss the days off the old Woot Offs (like 4 years ago-ish). In those days, the only RAGE QUIT!!!1212!~s to worry about were those projectors. The Bandoleer of Carrots never appeared at the same time each Woot Off, and each Woot Off would last an unpredictable amount of time (there were never two 2-day or two 3-days in a row). Back then there were lots of things for less than $15 dollars, making for great impulse buys, and a chance to actually have fun laughing at the crap people by while F5-ing the the crap people actually wanted. Those were the days when the Woot Off often ended with the Screaming Monkey, which had a faux leather cape and hat instead of cheap Nylon ones they wear now. Those were the good days of Woot, when it would be a family affair on the rare weekend Woot Off and the kids would be pressed into service hitting F5 on their dad's auxiliary computers to increase chances of winning the Big Ol' Cosmos.

And during those rare RAGE QUIT!!!1212!~s, the forum would come alive with the cry of "Paaaaancakes!"

Does anyone else miss those days?
