Why does it seem like Woot has become an Apple outlet?

What are we holding on to, Sam?
That's there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it's worth fighting for.

Saves $30 off of the apple.com price for the current gen, though you can get the last gen for $179.

Too few gigs for me regardless, but the tipping point would be if this is eligible for AppleCare or not. Extends the Woot 90 day warranty to 2 years.

Pardon me, would you have any bags of crap?

Because the ipod touch has no = competitors for the price.

P.S. Don't even try to argue that the wifi galaxys compare to the ipod touch, cause they doesn't.

i JUST got one of these (finally caved) and it wasn't through woot! for about $70 more than this refurbished price... but if the refurb works well then i'd say this is a great woot!

You definitely want the current gen. The camera, mic and especially the retina display makes this worth the extra money. Bought one back at thanksgiving for about $250... best $250 I ever spent so this is a pretty nice price.

I have this model and am continually amazed by it's features. The display is great, even for movies and there really is an app for everything. The down side as everyone says, is the camera, so, buy a camera too.

Well.... if you are talking about the telephone part of these companies (I realize this is a little off the subject with regards to the Woot) I was a huge Android fan for two years. When the opportunity came to upgrade, I didn't think twice, I went with the Android X 2. After ten days I took it back to Verizon, swapped it for an iPhone and could not be happier. Yes, there are alot more creature comforts, options, software that is really cool, and a host of features that come standard on the Android that you won't find on the iPhone but the Android operating system cuts corners in areas they shouldn't. As an example when you read an email, it assume you don't need it anymore and puts it in "old mail". This turned out to be a real drag when I opened up my MacBook Pro and could and had to go back and forth between old mail and new. The iPhone doesn't do that. It keeps everything in "new mail" as long as I mark it on the phone, an option Android doesn't offer. I talked with a senior tech at Verizon for twenty minutes before heading back to the Verizon store to swap out phones and he confirmed that when it comes to mail, the Android O S falls flat in a couple of areas. When you add "Mobile Me" into the Apple equation, it makes all your devices pretty bullit proof. I really liked the Android yet with the iPhone less is more.

Amazon has this for 265 brand new. I think I would pay the extra 30 bucks for a brand new one, especially since I do not think this was refurb'd by apple.

thanks though

not complaining about the product... but how putting out some different products every once in a while? why not just set up a site specifically for iPods? and one for Roombas? and one for ONELINK smoke detectors? and Sanyo xacti cameras (good lord, stop peddling this garbage)? and Razor gaming mice? it's just that you sell them SO OFTEN, it would only make sense. right?

Well...My gTablet has OE and GMail and both of them save until I delete or move my mail to another folder , so not sure what Android system you were working with. gTablet is fasster then my wifes iPad and capable of doing things the iPad can't do ...like run flash.

Video recording is good, But the picture quality is bad in anything less less than good light. I find the video recording very useful for capturing important stuff, but it is amazing how big the difference is between the video and picture on the iPod. I figured this out after i bought the iPod, but it does not have as good a camera as the iPhone...

I am only talking telephones, not any of the pads, which have a different operating system even though they overlap with other products made by the same company.

Well, compared to the camera you left at home, because it did not fit in your back pocket and just vanish there until you need it, it's probably no good. But you do get to film all kinds of cool stuff that you'd otherwise only wished you could've, if you would've taken the camera with you...

A word of warning.

I bought one last time Woot had these up and it was in pretty bad shape.

I'm not sure much refurbishing goes into these 'refurbs' other than you get new aftermarket non-apple headphones and charger.

I complained to customer service and they told me to pound sand, then ignored my request to speak with their supervisors.

How bad could it be?

The back was not reflective like a new unit, it looked like it has steel wool taken to it and had a dent in it. Dull brushed metal.

It works perfectly fine, but if you care about appearance this is not an Apple Refurbished product.

You just convinced me not to make a purchase that I was seconds away from. Not just because of the condition yours came in but the extremely poor customer service you got.

They do have that site! You can find it at amazon.com.

Even before they were bought out they secretly had the same site, then they called it buy.com.
