Daughter turns 2 years old July 3rd. Nice of everyone to shoot off fireworks to celebrate her birthday

Heading to my cousin's daughter's birthday, maybe some swimming.... nothing really overly patriotic, the town stopped doing fireworks about 7 years ago because of the cost and being a University town there isn't anyone in town to throw a parade (plus our entire National Guard is currently on active duty). Yup, not too much this year. Last year we went all out though.

You missed the obvious choice. I am going to a 4 day LAN.

Where is the option for "GET DRUNK"

Soccer Tournament

Running the Peachtree Road Race, with 60,000 other people.

I recently bought a house that needs LOTS of work. I also found a firepit in the backyard. I think I might start burning down the dilapidated "garage" (separate and in the back yard) piece by piece.

I voted BBQ because I'm going to a party, although I have no idea whether or not there will be any BBQ. Also, when I was invited, I was completely oblivious to the upcoming holiday and thought it was just a normal party until today when everybody at work was talking about how great it will be to have monday off and telling me to have a nice holiday lol

we're not permitted decent fireworks in Colorado. However, I've got some cannon fuse. You know why I've got cannon fuse? For my cannon.

Not doing anything, really. July 1 was my wedding anniversary, and that sort of contradicts the concept of "Independence Day." Unless you're talking about the movie, in which case, yeah, we get invaded by friggin' aliens (my in-laws).

The only fireworks we get are the ones when my father-in-law tries to start up the barbeque.

It's tragic, really.

Other: Nothing really. Staying home and away from the drunk drivers.

Rolling on the river on a raft with 60 or more friends. Frigging hot was 108 out there today and getting hotter tomorroe thank goodness for all the sandBARS...

I've been working on one of my vehicles, and will continue to do so for most of tomorrow as well. Then I work Monday night

Sailing in the sfternoon. Then the symphony in the park with fireworks in the evening.

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Just like all holidays in my house.

Careful - burning pressure treated lumber produces toxic fumes, as does burning lead paint (as might be found in an old garage). One twelve foot long pressure treated 2 x 6 has enough arsenic to kill 250 people, and arsenic has no smell or taste. Lead poisoning is especially dangerous to kids (think of those folks living downwind).

I think I am going to take handfuls of anti-depressants and cry. I will try to stand downwind of the guy burning his garage as well. But don't feel sorry for me because my weekend still sounds better than what you got planned.
