Home from the lake. The weather was glorious. We are canning 21 quarts of green beans. This is our first pressure canning attempt since 1980!

It is a lot of work! But it is a challenge. You aren't a good WNC wife unless you can green beans. Hubby and Daughter2 helped string and snap them. I would like to can some tomatoes too. Sort of a culture thing.

I have some of those jars I got from my mom that've been refilled 50 or more times!

I did do 21 quarts of tomatoes. You still grow beans with strings? Are you out of your mind?

Edit: Boiling water bath, not pressure can for tomatoes.
