Best friend for nearly 30 years. His wife and daughter were at a pool party for daughter's skating team, so he and I grilled huge, thick New York strips with bakers and veggies.

I'm still stuffed!!!

hot and humid. Had to tear out the downstairs bathroom floor, replacing all the pipes there and kitchen with CPVC. Have had repeated pinholes in the copper. about half done.

Jos, sounds like you worked too hard this summer. Did you have a leak that you decided to replace the pipes or got it done before you ended up with an unexpected broken pipe?

bathroom floor was sagging and needed torn out. I tore out 4 floors before I got to the bottom layer. whole support was dry rotted out. realized it was an opportunity to fix the pipes, once and for all. the poooony previous owners had poured a concrete floor in the kitchen, covering all the pipes and the wiring. So, I have to find new routes for the replacement pipes into the kitchen. thankfully, those pipes haven't leaked that I know of. might be leaking, actually.

I don't know about Joe, we weren't together, but I went to bed before 11, which was a huge mistake on my part. Thus up in the middle of the night for a while. Got some proofing done. Went back to bed. Ugly night.
