The cast that was on Broadway, back in the day.
Perfect night to be outside!
It was on the football field, that is surrounded by a track. We were in the last row of the bleachers.
The stage is set up on one side, in the middle of the field, right before the track.
There was nobody else near us and a guy came and sat right next to us.
He must have been autistic. Very much like Rain man, but higher functioning.
He was very interested in the name of the song. Who did it (before the show, when music was on the PA) and the date it came out. Month and year.
Then with every song the "Beatles" played, he would ask if I knew the name and when did I think it came out.
He wanted numbers. What year did we meet? How long before we married? How many kids? How old?
How many kids in our families growing up?
He would start a sentence with statistically speaking, do you think?
It is more dangerous to drive now than when we were kids?
It is more expensive to have kids now, than when we were kids?
Are there more drunk drivers now?
Am I better off driving, or taking a bus (the guy didn't drive)
We figured this was going to be a problem, since he asked a billion statistic questions before the band started. But he stopped and only asked name of song, what date (year and month) do we think it came out.
So, not a problem.
The evening ended up being very, very pleasant!
Good music
Great weather
Strange, but interesting weird guy sitting next to us, who left before the show ended, after they played his favorite song.
Plus, at the end we got to see something you don't see every day....an old lady (around 70) dancing her way out to the parking lot, durning the last song, with her walker!
plus from the top of the stands, we got to watch the entire crowd. Watch little kids.
Older kids playing ball.
Two terror two year old boys! O M G it took a bunch of much older kids to keep track of them! They would run, but in opposite directions every time! Mom had them in BRIGHT yellow shirts! I wonder why! They loved the track.
Very pleasant time indeed!
Gman and No1, please note, no complaints in this post!
