Well, second choice could be a large cubicle because if you are where Gatsby is, you are in bleak, gray, drippy, damp Seattle (most of the time I am there anyhow) - window would not matter much! You need a mural.

Woot should have a "game" where they all try to off one another. you know, with, like, paintguns.

Before the possible paintball war breaks out I was wondering if this discussion was seen by any woot staff that may have magical powers to make our wish come true.

At my last place of employment*, we had a yearly Nerf war. It was pretty hardcore.

*I know this may shock some, but inkycatz is not a highly sophisticated posting machine created by our developers

I have to read back, but
DON'T KILL GATZBY! He is the best boss I ever had!

Now, I only had 3 bosses in my life, but still....

plus he is the only boss I can go into Mother mode and yell at.

Since I quit before my daughter was born when I was 28, it would have been hard to yell at my other bosses. All of whom were OLD!

In random news I feel like sharing, my cubicle monkey collection is growing! I managed to score a tiger cape monkey to keep my smiley-face monkey company during the Woot-Off. I think it adds a certain flavor to a pretty standard and boring cube.

I keep the monkeys in my cube to a limit of two - they hang from my desk light.

I shot one at my boss yesterday. Great satisfaction in that. Straight over about three cubes and hit the wall behind him.

Afternoon folks!

I found out my mom knows of two lunch programs in her area. Bus pickup and drop off.

She won't go.

Why?
She knows what old people are like.
W T F????
It would be like the Rosary Society, in the old neighborhood.
She and her friends were in that for years. But they were a click that didn't welcome anyone else. So now it is just 4 old ladies and it will die when the last one can't drive. Which will be soon, they are all around 90.

She refuses to believe anyone in the senior program is looking for new friends.

Am I nuts?
Woot and the dog park is always nice to new people. Some stick around and become friends.
Are we weird? I don't think so.

Ya know, Dname, I remember well when I was about 45 or so working on a church fair with a group of really old (85 & up) ladies. I had always thought that old ladies were sweet, kind, etc. W R O N G

The meanness is absolutely incredible - the intolerance of one another's weaknesses is mind blowing - the cattiness - like junior high - the avoidance of anyone without full mental or physical capabilities - unbelievable. I hope and pray I never, ever get to that point. I had never seen it before in my tiny town in New England.

You want to see mean and intolerant, I used to work church bingo. Holy cow, those bingo players (mostly 60 and up) were unbelievable. Don't mess with them. And if somebody made a mistake and shouted "bingo" when they shouldn't have, I'll swear they were going to string them up.

Well, another day has passed and I didn't use algebra once.
