Dull surprise. It's a HP monitor de-branded.

Not a bad price, considering the contrast ratio (40k:1), size, and fact that it's rebranded HP Plus, previous Woot! deals for this item have been 150 and 140.

Doesn't seem to have VESA mounting.

That'd be a problem.
The mounting looks nice, but I'd rather use the OmniMount mounts.

what happened to two times tuesday, are they no more?

What exactly does "HDCP-supports DVI-D or HDMI input" mean?

Can I just plug an HDMI cable into it without any sort of adapter and have it work, in case I wanted to connect something other than a PC?

Is this VESA Mount compatible? The back picture makes it look like it only works with the little stand provided and the plugs would obstruct any wall mount. Can anyone at woot confirm this?

It's a LED monitor which is really nice. I have had older model LCDs before and my new LED LCD monitor is smaller (ie thinner) and run cooler.

According to the manual, it DOES do VESA mounting!

There is too much talk about the absence of two-fer tuesday and not enough talk about this monitor. Come on people make with the links!!! Or at least some opinions from previous owners.

I have the 20" version from a previous Woot (sometime last year), so far so good. I've been hoping they'd come back so I can get one or two more for a multi-monitor set up.

One annoying thing that other people have pointed out as well is the anti glare, or lack of. I can't play dark games in the day time with curtains open or all I see is my reflection.

I believe this means that you can play copyrighted material on the monitor from blu ray. If it isn't hdcp certified, I believe the resolution gets scaled back. It is some sort of copy protection.

The last time a bought a small TV from woot, the HDMI part went bad in less then 6 months. My aunt bought one as well, and her HDMI port is shot too. I'm gonna shy away from this one. Maybe if it was a major brand name I'd take a chance.

It is, it's HP. What brand did you buy?

if you got the 27" on moofi (or was it sellout) just weeks ago, that would've been a better deal!

Keep in mind the HDMI is only used for video, no audio.

This is because this monitor does not have any speakers built in, unlike some of HP's other monitors. But I like that it's super thin and it is LED (instead of LCD.)

Am I correct in saying this will tilt forward and back? Also, is the bezel a matte or glossy finish? In the pictures here it looks like matte, but on New Egg it looks like glossy. I can't stand monitors with a glossy bezel. Also, does anyone have experience with these refurb monitors? Scratches? Dead Pixels?

How do you get audio with a xbox360 hooked up through hdmi? I have logitech 5.1 speakers.

Sort of. I've read the supplied documentation and it makes a single reference to VESA mounting. "NOTE: The monitor should be mounted to a Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA)compliant mounting device."

However, this single reference does not come with any diagram or graphical representation of the spacing of the screw entry points.
Seems like the smallest sizes are 2.95" horizontally spaced by 2.95" vertically spaced. The next step up is 3.94" x 3.94"

Since the manual doesn't mention either the 75mm x 75mm or 100mm x 100mm standard specifically and just eyeballing it, it doesn't seem that it is compliant, nor does it specifically state it.

I've been waiting for a deal like this. I can justify this expense. The closest thing I can find on Amazon is a 21" LED monitor for $159. This is great!

It had better not break on me in 91 days though .

(Wished I had seen it before I downloaded the other PDF and pulled up the specs for VESA mounting though! There's 10 minutes I'll never get back. lol)
