OK I guess I will patiently (not so patiently) wait for the shipping confirmation... I can't wait to get my hands on it!

Ohhh, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but.... It will be *shipped* within 5 business days - meaning it will be picked up by FedEx by the 20th, not that it will be in your hands by the 20th. On top of that, FedEx will take 5-7 business days (maybe as few as 3) to get it to you.

I hope I am wrong, but I believe I am right... and like you I am waiting semi-impatiently for my Xoom.

Well that sucks. I will wait impatiently for it to come and probably not order anything again because I find waiting 10 days for something to arrive unacceptable in 2011.

I hate to gloat but...I just had a delivery from FedEx ground and I have my Xoom in my greedy little hands right now! Woot! still hasn't notified me of delivery. This must be their new time warp method where the shipment arrives before it ships. Thank you Woot!

Are you willing to give your general location to guestimate ship times?

I can't wait till they ship and deliver this thing so I can tinker with it. I bought the Entourage Edge Android tablet and didn't like it, thank goodness I was able to sell on ebay. This will be a welcomed upgrade.

Just recieved mine as well (Texas)! No shipping information updated prior to delivery.

Haven't received mine yet (MD)it would be great to get it today or tomorrow (my birthday). But I will be watching for the FedEx man like an ankle biter.

They really do use awful shipping. There's only two things I would change about Woot.

First, I'd re-negotiate with Heaven to make sure that your odds are pretty good, even if you've only Wooted once or twice.

Second, I'd add an up-sell for faster shipping. I definitely appreciate the flat $5 shipping for most items. Sometimes, though, you just want it ASAP.

Nice. Since it hasn't said that mine shipped yet, I will stay optimistic. Although, so far it seems that only people in Texas have it. I'm in Chicago and FedEx "Smartpost" sends everything to Wisconsin first, and then I get it a day or two later. Slow as hell, despite the fact that usually FedEx is quick here.

I think I need to pay a UPS Store in Texas to re-mail stuff for me in the future. That way, they'll get it quickly like everyone else in Texas, and they can next-day it to me. lol. That would be several days faster than FedEx Smartpost.

Here's hoping I see mine today. I live about 5 miles from Olive Branch. Wonder if it'll go straight to the local delivery station or have to run to Memphis (also about 5 miles) then to the delivery station.

Indeed.

I understand when we're told it could take up to 5 days to ship the product, and if we're all in that boat, so be it.

However, that people are reporting that they've received their products is a bit disconcerting given we haven't even received shipping notices yet. I'd hope Woot! would step it up a bit and at least provide the shipping information to us at this point.

Clearly these items have shipped (at least some have) and if mine hasn't shipped, I'd like to know why not in light of the fact others have, and if it has, I'd like to know when it's due to arrive.

This isn't shipping via SmartPost. Just curious, what part of town are you in? I'm in Andersonville and SmartPost's often faster than FedEx Ground.

Happy to hear that. I've had better luck with FedEx Ground, at least lately. It comes straight to Chicago and doesn't go to Wisconsin for a day first. Of course, for some reason, all my vendors prefer UPS, so 90% of my packages come that way and my experience with FedEx is limited. Still always preferred FedEx, though. They tend to break less stuff.

So Woot! shipping is just like their random shirt sales...you don't know who your carrier is going to be or when it will arrive. Surprise! Here's your stuff! Woot! I figure I still saved north of $160 on this deal. Please, FedEx, please don't leave my box out on the front porch...it's monsoon season and I doubt the Xoom is water-proof!!

I am hoping they do leave it, cause I wont be home in time to go pick it up from the fedex place if not. And I doubt KidTurbo will check back in to tell us where he is located since he has his new shiny toy heh
