Some/most (all?) of you should be able to look up your tracking using your order number as a reference here.

When I used my order number as a reference and my country and zip code it told me;

"Not Found
No information for the following shipments has been received by our system yet. Please try again later or contact Customer Service."

Maybe mine has still not shipped, that's kind of a bummer, oh well.

Here in Chicago NW suburbs, with no tracking number or delivery yet. Bought at the 11th hour though. Hopefully tomorrow.

Anybody want to venture a guess in which order these have been (and are being) shipped? According to the graphs, I was in the first 6% of buyers but I've not so much as a tracking number.

While I understand that these guys _technically_ have one more day before they reach their self-imposed limit, "up to 5 days" is usually the pessimistic estimate. This was my first woot and while some people might like this kind of experience, I think I would just as soon order from Amazon where I would have received the order on Friday and had a friendly 800# to call with questions.

(sidebar: perhaps Amazon should assert more operational control in woot)

So, my second question for the experienced wooters is: what makes you all so die-hard?

I am from a suburb of Cleveland, OH, and still no tracking number or any sort of indication of shipping from Woot. Anyone else in Cleveland area received theirs yet?

Price.

But is the price really that great? A new Asus Transformer with comparable specs retails for the same price as this refurbished Xoom (albeit with a little less on-board memory) and the Transformer has more stellar reviews.

As I referenced above, this is also a refurbished model and there seem to be some issues with those who have already received their orders having units that cannot update without rooting (not necessarily a problem for me, but it does affect price). A 20% discount for a refurbished computer product is actually industry standard - check newegg or tiger.

The price is definitely fair for the product, but it does not elicit a "wow" for me.

The transformer is a great tablet but it does not have connectivity ports. To get the ports you need to get the keyboard which is $150. For my purposes I want the on-board memory and 16gb vs. 8gb is a big deal. With the upcoming FCC clearance, one can open up this tablet and insert a 4g radio into the PCI port. Pop a SIM into the microSD slot and you will have 4g with the latest software update. this is the flagship tablet and has the most flexibility like the Toshiba Thrive (but slimmer and cheaper).

Something else to think is that the transformer gets scratched/beat up very easily. At the local best buy, the acer iconia and the transformer always look the most beat up of all the tablet.

I know it's still in the shipping time frame but I'm getting disappointed. I ordered it at 6 am central time and it looks like it hasn't even shipped yet. I tried that Fed ex link that was posted and no results found. Yet other people already have theirs?

Every few minutes it locks up, it reboots, the browser shuts down...

a lot of the posts here make me think that the bunch of refurbished tablets they put on here were junk to begin with. i wouldn't be surprised if woot! is testing them to ensure they work well to reduce the RMA rate. I hope i don't get junk.

I am hoping I get a good unit physically / hardware wise, I could care less software wise, because I am going to hack the holy hell out of it and put rooted 3.2 on it anyhow heh.

Oh Woot! gods, please let my tablet arrive today, even though I have no shipping info and no inclination if it has even shipped yet lol.

These are all very good points (fyi, it's 32gb vs 16gb, but your point is still valid). I think the Xoom is a great tablet - which is why I ordered it instead of a Transformer. The primary reason was one you mentioned - I want to plug in one of my existing wireless keyboards and I didn't want to spend money on the Transformer's docking station.

My argument was more weighing the cost vs. benefit of the woot service. I was a little nervous by their obvious disinterest in speaking with customers (even when it is masked in humour) and this experience feels like that may be a valid concern. Is your experience normally a little more fluid?

you're right 32 vs 16. bizarre mistype on my part

about the woot service -- to be honest, i've never had a situation like this. almost 5 business days (plus 2 weekend days) and im anxious. in the past i remember either 1) the item was sent really fast to me or 2) it was so cheap i didnt care when i was getting it.

i also remember woot! as the home of "Bindle of Carrots". just like the Bindle of Carrots it is a all this risk vs. reward ratio i've been thinking about the tablet for a while and it seems like our uses cases for it brought us to this 'deal'.

delayed or not, let's hope we at the least that we get decent non DEMO tablets that dont become junk when we turn em on.

I have personally never heard a bad thing about Woot! from all my friends that buy stuff here. So as much as I am fiending to get my tablet, I can't hold it against them that this feels a bit laggy.

FedEx shows no information when I enter my order number in the reference field. I know it's been technically three business days, but this Woot only sold 2288 units...divide by three days means that Motorola would need to ship 746 a day. I've worked for FedEx as an IT consultant and Ramp handler/Dangerous Goods Specialist and I can tell you most medium sized companies would have no problem spitting out 746 FedEx labels in a day for a pick up. And if in fact these are coming from Motorola, last I heard they were much larger than a medium sized company. Add to that the fact that some of your customers have received units that are not the advertised specs and can not be upgraded to the latest software and you see why I'm a bit concerned. It's 2011, it shouldn't be this hard to figure out where your merchandise is. I like a good deal as much as the next red-blooded American guy, but at this point I'm thinking I would have been better off spending the money and going to best buy. I still love the Woot random shirt sales though. Just sayin...

I would have liked a date when I will receive my item. Its almost been a week with nothing shipped yet. This SUX!

I just checked my status and it added a tracking number. Clicked it and Fedex says there's no information regarding that number...so judging from when previous posts, I should be receiving this like.....tomorrow and the tracking updates will lag by 3 days. I don't really see why there is such a huge discrepancy from the time our tracking is updated to when we receive our packages.

Like several of you have just posted, I also just got my tracking number with no record of it at FedEx which means it will probably not get sent until tomorrow. I ordered early in the day and am very disappointed that it is one of the last ones being shipped. In addition to the "demo" units being shipped, this is probably going to be my first and last woot purchase. I have not been impressed by them at all.

ps: the captcha gave me some sort of oriental text to enter. What is with that? A refresh fixed it.

I worked in a position that did a lot of shipping with FedEx. All that has been done so far is the shipping label has been printed. The moment the label its created, it also emails us the tracking number.
The package is not in FedEx's hands yet.
In a couple hours the FedEx truck will pick up the shipments and will scan all packages. At this point their scanning device sends a signal to their network to let them know they have a package in their system. Then the website gets the update once the driver arrives to their FedEx hub and is schedule to be shipped that night.
Our tracking number looks like a FedEx Ground versus Overnight and so depending on where you are and where the shipment is coming from, your lead time will vary.

No more than 5 days to ship across US (excluding extreme bad weather)

Am I the only one that's happy to at least know that a shipping label has been printed for my XOOM? That's one step (the first step) closer than I was last week. Ha!

Now, let's hope I don't get a dud.

To anyone that received the xoom before receiving a tracking number email:

Have you now received an email with that tracking number (like a bunch of us)? If so, does that tracking number actually show up on the fedex website and show as being delivered?

stevenmig

I, like many others, have my panties in a bunch about all of this.

I'm in the Chicago suburbs, just received my number, and it's not showing in the system.

However, everyone who is saying that woot! is a Bindle of Carrots (had to try that!) needs to calm down. They didn't guarantee any fancy/fast shipping schedule, and you only paid 5 lousy dollars to ship the package.

I am elated to have seen this deal. I get the emails because I bought a shirt years and years ago, and I delete or don't read most. I have wanted the xoom since I first heard the tech specs and this is a pretty good deal.

I recently had the chance to check out an original IPad and I have an ipod touch, and as much as I like them, my geeky roots yearn for the freedom that android will bring.

I can't believe I will soon hold in my hand THE DEFINITIVE android tablet. Don't even mention that turdy asus impostor to me. I haven't met it in person, but build quality means a lot to me. Especially when you are competing with Apple (they make quality hardware in their chinese factory prisons...)

Of course, a year from now, it will be obsolete, but I will treasure the few months of owning a piece of top-o-the line tech.

Anyway, thanks woot! for the sweet deal. You have a happy (and might antsy) customer here.

Just remember that saying, "distance makes the heart grow fonder" or something like that.

My email from Service was the same one about it taking 5 days to ship. Well today is the end of the 5th day and not even a tracking number yet.

I was able to find the instructions to unlock the bootloader and flash the files so I can update. When I was finished flashing and rebooted, it began downloading 3.1 (which is where I am at right now). Hopefully will be able to get 3.2 right after.

Glad I do not have to go through Motorola or return it. I had been really looking forward to using it since last week!!!
