I still don't have mine yet. This is too crazy of a wait. The review here doesn't look too good so far. Crossing my fingers.

I received mine yesterday. I used it for two hours last night and everything was good, but the posts about issues concerns me. I've had no issues with it recognizing 1920x1080 resolution. In fact, my computer automatically switched it from the 1600x900 I was running with my old monitor to the new resolution.

I played Minecraft, TF2, and surfed the web a bit in those two hours. Granted, the games aren't exactly graphically intensive, but I didn't run into any hiccups with it. I intend to pop in a DVD and check out some HD videos on YouTube tonight.

Hopefully, this post helps put some people at ease regarding their incoming monitor. Granted, things could change, but so far so good.

Recvd both of mine today. Went to HP site to get the driver file and copied it to the desktop.

Connected to computer (Dell Optiplex, win7-32.)

First boot the screen was locked up, nothing worked, no icons showed but the placeholders were there. Nothing was clickable.

Rebooted into Safe Mode, installed the driver. Rebooted and it works fine - so far. Had to run autoadjust a couple of times to get the screen placement right. The Monitor shows as a Gen PNP but the resolution is right. Looks good to me.

I think I will brave the other one tomorrow.

So far, I've had the fuzzy screen problem (where it suggests optimum hrz @60), then the white screen problem, and now I just have a black screen.

I've installed the drivers...

What am I missing?

I bought the 27 inch and was having serious issues using the vga cable at first. For everyone having problems, switch to DVI or HDMI. Mine is absolutely fantastic now.

Does anyone know why it has a mercury warning on the back? I thought the LED backlight screens had no mercury...

Having same issue with the over-white. Also I cannot adjust or auto sync my screen so the start bar is cut off.

The colors on this thing are just horrible. Next to my two 19" samsungs, the colors are so washed and not true.

I am using HDMI.

If anyone has any ideas how to fix please post, if not this is going back. FYI under Win7 it says its an HP 2311

This sucks. Mine is stuck in a factory test mode. Can't get the OSD to come up. The manufacturer approved an RMA, but I would need to pay shipping to them. Same if I return it to Woot.

Well, the maker was not famous...in fact, I don't think there was a brand name on the box, or monitor. Plugged it into 3 machines, didn't work. Sending it back. This was the first Woot item that I had ever received that was ever complete junk. Saddens me, I still love Woot, they just should never use this manufacturer again.

Addendum:

Finally got around to installing the second unit. It appears that these have the same driver issues that HP printers have, in that if you don't install in the proper sequence - there's gonna be issues. The sequence is driver - monitor - reboot. I followed that for the second unit and had zero issues getting the monitor to power up properly and have windows see it. One round of Auto-adjustment later and it works fine for now.

Hooked up today and it worked for an hr, now it comes on for 5 min then gets lines going across the screen and presto black screen, reminds me a little of Picard losing reception from another planet. wait 2 min comes back on does an auto adjust and we start the process all over again downloaded new drivers etc to no avail. Not a great refurbish job!

They'll ARS for a return, but the manufacturer won't send a label for RMA.

I was on the F-ing Phone with the company (HP) for over 2 and a half hours trying to get my issue resolved.

Now I need this monitor's Product Number in the following format:
AlphaAlphaNumberNumberNumberAA#ABA
(eg: XZ555AA#ABA)

I have a replacement (finally) lined up, but they will charge me for the new one unless I give them the monitor they expect.

HELP!!

I ordered two of these. One worked fine out of the box, but after a short time developed an awful buzzing. Turned out to be the power supply, not the monitor itself. The bad power supply causes either monitor to buzz; the good one doesn't.

The two monitors shipped with different power supplies. The one that does not cause the monitors to buzz was a Lite-On model PA-1041-0 A/C adapter, so I ordered another one of them from an Amazon storefront for less than $20.

(The bad power supply was a no-name brand, and significantly bulkier than the Lite-On adapter shipped with the other monitor. It had white paint splashed on the cord, too, so it clearly was not new. :-)

worked great, then suddenly today have white screen of death, whether using vga or hdmi. no OSD menu popping up, unable to get it to do anything but turn on and off. will try reloading driver but I suspect the problem is in the monitor itself, and there seems to be no way to reset it if you cannot get the OSD menu up.

My unit came without a power cord. Does anyone know the voltage, amperage and plug diameter is I have to buy one?

My monitor is perfect so far (~1 mo). It came with celophane protecting stickers still on it and will all cables/psu. The big sticker on the back came right off and revealed the HP logo. The front sticker did not have the HP logo under it, and has a funky looking hole so I would suggest not removing the front generic "world" logo sticker unless you have something else to cover the hole with.
My only complaint is that sometimes it takes upwards of 30sec-1min to adjust for resolution changes.

Well, after some googling I read about somebody who had an HP monitor with a white screen of death. They just turned it upside down and fixed the problem. I tried that, worked like a charm. Who knows why? Will see if it continues to work okay. I still love the picture.

This is an excellent monitor. The company handling the transactions is too. The first one I got had issues, (had a problem picking up the video signal, screen then started going white...then stayed white). Contacted the vendor. I shipped it back (my expense, just over 8 bucks) sent them the tracking number, they drop shipped the replacement back the day after. The new one is crisp and clear and trouble free. All I can say is...what a deal!

Well - I finally hooked the monitor up. It was fabulous for 2 weeks. now It's dead. So it seems that the culprit is the powersupply. The first time the monitor went dead, I figured a cable came loose. The brick was pretty hot to the touch. checked all the connectors for tightness. disconnected the wires. Let the brick cool for 10 minutes. plugged it back in and everything looked great again. For about 10 minutes. Now I'm only getting about 3 minutes at a time. Interestingly - the brick is not hot anymore.

It looks like it outputs 3.3 amps at 12 volts. I've gone through all of my old power supplies - I don't have anything at 12 volts.

Rather frustrated.
