A lot of people complaining about the box. Whereas the contents of my box was probably one of the lesser (but still a lot of fun)- I had a very good quality box. Construction and taping of the box is really top-notch.

Luckily my wife went home for lunch today... Found box soaking in rain on front porch. Tracking updates claim it hasn't reached local PO yet. Can't wait to leave work (more than usual)!

1 x Furniture Polishing Kit
1 x Crab Bag

A great haul for the whole family, I got to keep the watch anyway!

I got the exact same bag, my watch works now that I put a new battery in it, the necklace still doesn't light up even with a new battery though.

I looked through a bunch of old threads. If it's big enough you'll get a call from fedex a few days before to arrange delivery. Otherwise, no you won't get a tracking number. ETA is probably next week.

Good luck!

sqrt(16) = 4

So 4/4-1 = 0

When not specified, multiplication and division are done first, followed by addition and subtraction. So, it's right.

However, if he'd written 4/(sqrt(16)-1), that would be 1 1/3. Though (4/(sqrt(16))-1 would have been more clear.

I'm going the lazy route on this...

Has anyone received a random round remote? I got a dual speaker/charger in my box but has no remote! lol Here's a picture (assuming it posts correctly) of what it looks like.

Here's what else I received:

1 box wooden railroad tracks
2 squishy and smelly balls
1 tennis racket vibration silencer
1 deck of cards that shocks you
1 lobster bag

My 5.2lbs of brainwashed overdosed californians has arrived:

-4 bags texas air, all in mint condition (no deflate)
-1 Orca bag
-2 wibbly fun balls
-1 foot flush
-1 furniture polishing kit
-1 kids coloring kit.

The kids coloring kit packaging threw me off. It was the size of an ipad and had similar weight. I was very excited until I saw the coloring set. My kids got excited instead.

All in all, ok crap. No letter, but there's always next time!

Hey! That tennis crap is useful. It can light up 1 square centimeter AND allow you to play tennis in the dark like all the pros do.

I've already improved my tennis game from Andy Roddick to Waluigi-level.

Just thought I'd add, on closer inspection of the Maverick thermometer had stickers all over it that said "Meijer.com return" and the box had clearly been opened.

Everything was in there though and it works fine.

Just thought it was funny they were getting Meijer returns.

I believe amazon.com does the back end fulfillment of Meijer.com, it's quite possible woot is getting some of Amazon's returns.

I suspect the crap is MAINLY returns. Things that can't and hasn't been sold for one reason or another. Somethings like the wiffle balls and glow in the dark silencers are probably just uber cheap overstock they buy specially for the bags.

I recall from my days in University working at a local Waldenbooks- out biggest profit margain came from... Bargain books- those cheap 1.99 books. Warehouses would clear those out REALLY cheap- and so even at $1.99 each we got a major profit. Profit on those expensive bestsellers not so much.

I suspect all the unique items are returns that can't be sold for some reason or other- some minor (or in some cases major) parts missing.

Since most of the items were not on woot- I suspect most of them come from Amazon or elsewhere.

Whether or not they make a profit on the bags... who knows? Even if not directly they do by increasing customer loyalty- generating buzz about their site- keeping the max number of people online during a wootoff.

Someone gets a TV in their bag- you can bet that not only the person who gets it- but most of the people that read about it on here will tell their friends about it- and thus Woots legend grows.

1 tennis racket vibration damper - glows in the dark for continued games during rolling blackouts
7 bags of TX air

The dogs were not impressed, but I had a good time.

I got the iPod wireless speaker too, and its just a mini-USB plug. Mine came with a very short USB cord that worked to charge it, but I have one that plugs into the wall and has a mini-USB from my bluetooth, and I think something like that would work. As light and cheap as the cyfi speaker seems, its really quite nice, amazing sound quality from something so small and light. So I wouldnt give up on it just yet, also searched them online and it seems like 50$ is a good deal on one, so find yourself a power cord and you've got a valuable bag of carpies

I would just like to say that the Omnimount Essentials Furniture Cleaner and Polish works like a champ on cleaning CDs. It even fills in the fine scratches.

My kid brought one of his games into my office and said it wasn't working. It looked like he used it to do some gardening while eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The polish happened to be sitting on my desk unopened. Two squirts...one towel then the other...fixed it right up.
