i used to think that, too--but i find that it's much easier to scoop flour from a longer horizontal container than a taller vertical one to avoid both making messes and compacting the flour. there is a container on the market that offers that type of storage and even has a spout for easy pouring, but it definitely is not airtight or watertight, so i've ended up replacing it with lock & locks.

i got these last time and i must say they perform admirably. perfect for the mail when you use the just in case foodsaver to send chives to a down and out friend. they work in the fridge, freezer and microwave too. did i mention the dishwasher? they get clean in there too.

Bummed I missed this deal, I knew it would sell out asap...but I lingered too long. I hope Woot does this deal again in the near future...please?

I don't think gifts, even storage containers, are in the real spirit of Festivus...

IKEA has pretty much the same thing for about half the price. So just go there if you missed out on this one :P

I use mine in the dishwasher all the time. The food always stays dry. It's a great way to steam vegetables.

Some of their products are available on their website. Not all the colors are available thought. What you can get here can be $7.99 set +$6.99 set. Can't beat woot's $9.99 deal but I think it's still worth.

I checked Fedex track by reference number and I see mine has shipped out on Saturday for arrival at the end of this week!

I think we're all spoiled by fast shipping from "normal" retailers. I don't have a tracking number in my receipt, but if I search for my order number on FedEx, I do see a pending shipment for Smartpost (worstpost).

Now lets see if it gets here before Thursday as I'll be out of town.

Same for me, still not shipped. This is my first woot purchase and I have to say I am disappointed in the shipping or should I say lack of shipping speed.

Mine also has not shipped and I did see the money was taken out of my account for it forever ago.

Yeah, I agree and this is coming from a member of woot.com for over 5 years now. It seems that everytime I buy from woot it gets slower on delivery times. This is worse than snailpost though, they just haven't shipped yet and have had a whole week to do so. Very disappointed in woot's deteriorating quality of service in the last year or two.

My order hasn't shipped yet either. Definitely the longest time it's taken them to get an order out for me.

Just received a set of Orange containers and ordered one set of each color.

Oh yeah, I live about 10 miles from the warehouse. ;-)
