My "slablet" as my husband calls it, is on its way!

I just now got an email saying mine had shipped on the 12th and now my order status says "shipped." So probably they were all shipped but a lot of shipped orders didn't get notified via email or on the order page here. My commerce software does all this automatically, so I assume that Woot's does, too. There must have been a software issue here, or the shipping staff didn't tell the software they shipped the orders, and now someone has fixed that. I'll keep that in mind when/if I order again.

got mine in the mail an hour ago (I am in dallas so it shipped less slow for me)! Unboxed and Froyo'd already. Amazon app store installed and running.

Playes Divx/XVID movies great, but doesn't handle AAC sound on movies (ipod format), at least not out of the box. I didn't really expect it to, but overall very happy with the device for the few minutes I have had it.

Mine already went through Dallas.......Passed my house near New Orleans on it's way to Southhaven Mississippi.........Left Southhaven at 10:00pm last night and hasn't arrived anywhere according to FedEx tracking.....HA HA HA HA HA!!!!

Good to hear! From which site did you get the Froyo update? I've gotten copies from several sources, but I would prefer to use one that has worked for others. Thanks for your help.

OK. Found mine using the Fedex.com, said to arrive on the 19th (Florida). In GA now, cool beans!

And I'll note in passing that my box got from DFW to Houston a lot faster than it is moving from Houston to wherever is next on its world tour :\

Are they that bad?!?

Mine arrived today. Apparently www.entourageedge.com is down, so you can't register the product, which is part of the startup procedure. I haven't managed to find any workable way around this, Error code 80 just keeps coming up. I sure hope one of you guys knows something I don't, or the website comes back up, b/c otherwise I just bought my a very expensive paper weight.

ok. got mine in the mail this afternoon. I am trying to register it, but I keep getting an error. The message is "ERROR: Network connection error. Please try again- Code 80."
Any ideas on what to do??? I am signed on to my network and have a strong signal.

I feel like a kid reaching out for a present *waaant waaant* Mine has been 45 mins away since 3pm but it says it won't get here until Monday. I really hope it's lying.

Lucky you - mine is in limbo AND not scheduled to arrive until Wednesday next week. I'm in class all day on Wednesdays and my mail carrier seems to think anything that's not junk mail requires a signature so if I'm lucky I might be able to retrieve it from the post office on Friday.

Mine left Southhaven MS about 10 1/2 hours ago and still has reached no destination. How can that be? It's not scheduled to reach me until the 19th but it's not even 8 hours from Southhaven to me........Where oh where has it gone?

This site is awesome. My Pocketedge came today. I could not get past the registration too. Thanks for the post that give the sequence of tapping the corners of the wifi screen. I then went in like on my HTC phone and set up my home Wi-fi and it's working like a charm. I don't need a bunch of stuff and this looks like it will be all I need. I have an IPAD for work. My son needs something he cam do a few things with while at the community college. I think this will get the job done. It;s time to learn how to hack.

I would suggest that you at least do the upgrade to Android 2.2. It will give you a much better experience. The information you need is a couple of posts up from your post. If you also install the Amazon app, you can take advantage of their one free app per day.

Okay, I know nothing about torrents. But, I would really like to update my edge. Is there a you tube video that shows you what to do. This will be the first time I ever try something like that. I would also like to install the kindle and nook software. Finally, I would like to get books on the ereader side of the pocket edge.

Most systems likely have a torrent software already installed(i.e. Windows 7 has BitTorrent). If not just go to your browser and search for torrent and you will find many to pick from.

After you have it up - cut and paste the URL listed in the post. This will down load the zip file. Inside the zip file are several files and instructions on how to do the upgrade.

Sorry - yes. Once it is on your PC follow the instructions. You will need either a USB flash drive or an microSD card to do the upgrade.
