I saw these the other day at Office D on clearance for $109.

Did you know that these fans function on a principal used in the first hovercraft called an "Annular Jet"? Dyson touts it as a great new invention but it's been around since before 1955.

(Plus I was dying to use the word "Annular" in a sentence)

But, I also want a bigger paycheck to be able to purchase one. Darn.

OK, what makes this fan so great and expensive?

Absolute meh. Wimper woot-off followed by an overpriced gimmick. Well, at least I still have my bag of nickels.

And so the woot off is ended, not with a monkey, but with a crappy tablet and an expensive fan.

Fare thee well, my friends. May it take you all less time to win a bag than it did me.

Handled one before -not nearly gullible enough to buy one.

155$ here, 230$ at amazon or 300$ retail for a fan that moves as much air as a 20$ one. Quite possibly less. Not quiet, either. Nor is it particularly well built; it's all plastic.

Literally, there's nothing to recommend about this fan, unless you have enough money to buy 5 of them to make roughly the same airflow as a single box fan. At that point, you might as well get that box fan gold plated instead.

The whole "Bladeless" is complete BS. The fan is in the base. You can see the small holes it sucks the air in at the bottom, then the air is passed in to the ring and comes out slots.

Innovative design, deceptive marketing.

Dyson sure is proud of their stuff...and it wasn't worth the nearly hour wait in woot limbo...but it was fun to see if something sweet would pop up in the last minute. So woot away!

$150 is still too much for a BLADED Dyson fan. It DOES have blades. They just aren't visible.

Seriously though these real Dyson ones are kinda loud. And expensive.

This is pretty neat, it allegedly produces 15 times the amount of air it takes in and provides a more consistent breeze than a fan because the air is compressed in a sense before being expelled.

I didn't buy this piece of crap when Costco tried to sell them, and I'll pas on it here as well.
Further proof that the item following a Woot Off is worthless so the Woot crew can catch up on their sleep. G'night Woot, wherever you are.
