Finally getting around to posting my crap.

1 men's small Vote crab shirt from deals.woot (already had one)
1 pack of wooden train set track risers (my sister got some track in her bag)
1 seashell tote
2 yellow watches
1 mysterious handle, looks to be from the lid of a crock pot, if I had to guess
7ish bags of texas air, forgot to count
2 small, empty plastic bags.

0 letters, and it appears I have missed the chance to ever get one from TPW.

TPW, you will be missed in the world of crap.

Not my best Box of Cobwebs by any means, but as always it was exciting to get one.

Wife: Do you really need all this junk?
Me: At least I don't ask you if it makes me look fat.

Thanks for all your hard Box of Cobwebs work TPW! You will be missed.

got mine in the other day 2.7 lbs.

2 breo watches (red & gray)
1 black with green flower print bag
1 pink usb mirror
1 size large red polo shirt with a checkered flag design around the arm holes and collar
1 pro form watch style heart rate monitor, with separate pedometer
7 bags of texas air

not too shabby a haul, though I seem to have too many wrist accessories for 1 person. And in reality, those Breo watches almost cut off circulation.

In the short couple years I've been able to get Box of Cobwebs#39;s, they've changed drastically. From sansas and roombas to what seemed like prepackaged crap.

TPW you've definitely changed crap for the better. This past Box of Cobwebs seemed more random and interesting. While crap will always be crap and many duplicates will be seen due to the nature of it, it's cool to see the unique items coming out again. Thanks for your service. Don't be a stranger to the Box of Cobwebs thread.

As for your replacement, can we get a handle? Time to break them in. Also is there a title to the position? Quality control of crap? Maybe just Crap Control?

Oh and obligatory, What no letter?

TPW, the pleasure has been all ours, thank you for helping to make our otherwise dreary lives a bit more fun once a month or so! We look forward to whatever capacity you (hopefully) continue to serve WOOT! in, and have high hopes for the person who will be stepping in to fill your shoes.

On to the 3.5lb Box of Cobwebs contents, which arrived Saturday, just as the first snowflakes of the Northeast's epic October storm were falling;

2x Breo skin watches - yellow
1x Adult shirt.woot 'Smeagol' T-shirt
1x Sand dollar tote
1x Royal magnetic digital picture frame
11x bags of Texas air

and.....

1x Pandigital 4x6 mini-photo scanner! ($29.99 on Amazon)

Thanks Woot! and TPW, you are the BEST!

Oh, by the way, they are estimating that our power may be out for a few weeks in the aftermath of the storm, so if you have a spare refurb generator or high wattage inverter, feel free to send it up this way as a piece of extra Box of Cobwebs loot!

Seriously, though, we should be OK. Although most of CT is in the dark at the moment, the power utilities are working diligently to get us all back on line as quickly as possible.

My 3.3lb finally arrived:

All in all a great haul, and not at all what I expected (aside from the 2x Breos) - also absolutely perfect for my situation, my daughters will love the watches, and the Zoobie will make a great gift for my soon-to-be 3-year-old's birthday in just a couple days!

As an aside to TPW - have any letters been sent out this round? Haven't heard anything on the forums about one yet

When the silverware set showed up in my 18lb bag, she remarked, "Now, that was worth the $8!" and she proceeded to grab the booty (not mine, unfortunately). You saved my back-end once again Woot!

now, here's why the sansas (and woot) are so frickin awesome. i recently found out a co-worker's dad is going to be starting chemotherapy. she asked me last week if i had an extra mp3 player so she could put his favorite songs on it for him to listen to while getting chemo treatments. unfortunately, i'd given away all the sansa's from previous bags of cooties (i don't have any use for an mp3 player since i just use my phone). and, i haven't seen anyone get a sansa recently.

but now, i can give her two!! one for her dad and one for whoever sits with him while he gets his treatment. i'm keeping my fingers crossed that at least one of them works.

thanks woot! you made some people really happy today!

This is awesome!!

Yes, but it also saved my booty because the ultimatum of "thou shalt not buyeth more of that crap" was soon to be spoken had I not received such a useful and pertinent random item. Woot's ability to send me things I did not know I needed but found out I did need is truly amazing (e.g., one of many examples is a recent baggie contained a notebook heat pad that I use to this day). I hope that TPW's departure does not disturb this apparent psychic connection.

I noticed a bunch of posts that mention me in this thread and wanted to come in a give you an update. As an example of the posts, I quoted the most recent one above. BTW - To address that specific opportunity, each BoÄŠ should have a bag-like item and three craps. If one doesn't, just email service@woot.com and they will fix that for you, no problems there.

Moving on to the bigger picture, I wanted to thank you guys for many years of awesome posts in the BoÄŠ threads! It was my pleasure to read every one since 2005. It was those posts that inspired me to continue to try to bring remarkable BoÄŠ events to you. I loved those posts even more than I love bacon.

It made my day to read "Best BoÄŠ evar" or to see community building exchanges like two community members going offline and exchanging items or someone posting a video on how to fix the crap that we sent out. I could give 1000 more examples, but I'll stop there.

It was my goal to make the BoÄŠ event remarkable, and it makes me happy to say that the goal has been accomplished time-and-time-again.

The overall cheerfulness and elation that the BoÄŠ delivers is a remarkable occurrence.

Hey, don't be sad. This is what the Box of Cobwebs is all about, and you got the CRAPPIEST ONE so far!

Breathe in the acrid stench of the baggie-o-crap experience. The crappier it is, the more crap you get for your $8! Its not just the crappy items, it's the whole crappy experience!

Look, at least you got yours. Mine still hasn't arrived yet (Smartpost blessed me with the extra-frustrating "Delivery Exception" to make this Box of Cobwebs triple-crappy for me. And, I didn't even have to pay extra for that service!)
