I figure today is probably the warmest it's going to be until spring (60* No1), so I got the windows washed in the new room.
Something was said about getting the washer and dryer up here this weekend, so somebody must be working Sat.
I'm slurping up a bourbon slush. I need to make a fresh batch for New Year's Day, so I need to finish off what's left. Right?

There were 2 huge pine trees. Use to be three, one fell years ago.
Good thing they are gone, they were right next to the power and phone lines. Not only would they hit a house, garage, or both, but would take out all the lines on the telephone poles if they went the wrong way. They were maybe 60 feet high? Maybe less, but too high for the amount of land.
Plus, pine needles get knitted together and screwed up my gutters.
They took all the small trees down too. Is empty back there..
Now the telephone poles look awful .
I let a tree that was hidden in the bushes when we moved in , grow.
It is almost full size now. I left it because that house was in bad enough shape 30 years ago, that I figured someone would gut it and clear cut the land. I was right! Took 30 years, but it happened.
I would like to pass a law that every yard needs one tree that would be at least 20 feet high. Not so big it will damage the house if it fell.
Just one.
This is the 4th house to cut down all the trees Only my yard and the yard behind me have any now.
houses on both sides of me and the yard behind me have none.
Who cares? Try talking with us.
