Speaking of backs...today was the first time taking m-i-l to the store and using a wheel chair. I don't think this is going to work. I can feel it some in my back when I'm pushing a shopping cart, but pushing the wheel chair is a killer because it's about five inches lower and I'm bent over pushing.

May not be difficult, but you'd likely need to carry a wrench or screwdriver with you. And getting/keeping the brackets tight could become problematic - especially over time.

That looks good. Was just looking around the Internet and there's sure not much available for what I'd think would be real handy. Going to call the Council on Aging guy to see if we can get these paid for.

or you could just use a roll of duct tape and a couple of broom handles. scissors to cut off the tape when you're done.
