I could swear I read the writeup for woot at 1am. Guess not. The Bag was there and once again I missed it.
But the page is showing comments, and there were no comments, nor could you post a comment, when I went to bed at 1:30 eastern.

That sucks! I always check in at 1, but I had to go to bed early to work 1st shift today!

Merry Christmas everyone. Son wanted to open gifts this morning but his willpower gave out last night. We've always opened on Christmas Eve. LOL.

So today was lazy with sleeping in and just puttering around. We just finished off our Christmas dinner of ribeye steaks, baked potatoes, and cornbread. Topped off with chocolate cake.

Going to a movie in a bit to finish off the day.

Chicken salad sandwich and fritos here.

It wasn't my ideal Christmas but I've had worse and I know that there are many that aren't as fortunate as I.
My f-i-l was in good spirits today and that made us happy.

I actually cooked today. Roasted a chicken in my convection rotisserie oven - which crapped out on my and kept giving an error msg. finished it off in the oven and was still good. Roasted red potatoes and fresh green beans. And leftover baked goodies from yesterday. Mom and my neighbor were the only two here for dinner.

How is fil?

Went to see Harold & Kumar's Christmas 3D. Pretty darn funny. It was at the discount 2nd run theater but it's a pretty nice one run by the Movie Tavern people. Can't beat $1.75 after 6pm ($3.75 for 3D).

A little better everyday, not as fast as he and the family would like, but slow improvement. He still can't get up without 2 aides doing most of the work nor can he walk yet. The PTs are satisfied with his progress.

Howdy! Off from work, sleeping late and bumming around the house. Did water changes on the saltwater tanks, will get some of the others done later.

My parents immigrated from Scotland in '52 as did most of the people they knew.
It was Canada, New Zealand, Australia or Rhodesia. My dad had a job offer in Rhodesia if he wanted it but it was unpaid for the first year so chose the cold place. My mom's family all moved from Scotland to Australia in the early 70's.
