The blue is a dark navy blue (I own it), and the 'pink' is more of a dark red. So we are talking Blue and Red.

Love it for my netbook. I highly recommend this.

I picked one of these up when I bought a new laptop a few weeks ago at Target for $30 and I love it, even for that price. It is a tad smaller than the average desktop mouse, but the form fitting design makes up for it.

I'm very sad seeing this price, considering what I paid, but I might buy a few extras just for the heck of it. This is a great deal/product.

If you turn off the computer, the overheating dongle is bound to cool off pretty fast...thus saving your fingers from getting burned. I'm not judging your friends, I'm just sayin'.

I stayed up for this?!?

Not quite the brightest crayon in the box, huh?

An HTPC user might use it on their living room couch arm rest which might be leather, suede, cloth or a combo of many other materials. Kitchen countertops or table users, which might be marble, wood, glass ( thin see through, opaque, or thick slab) or a variety of other different types of stone and materials.

Kids (even adults) might use on while sitting on a room floor, which might be carpet (all types), hardwood, laminate, ceramic/porcelain tiles..ect.

While laying in bed on their mattress, sheets, comforter...ect.

Sitting at the airport with no table simply using your legs (any type of clothing material including bare skin) or the empty seat next to you which might be plastic.

While at the beach or camel safari (where YOU would use a mouse apparently) you could use it on the blanket/towel/spread being used to sit/lay on, or you can use it on the camel's back itself while you are riding on it (not on the sand as you suggested).

I can go on forever stating all different variety of surfaces, but by now you should understand what they meant by saying "variety of different surfaces",

Anyways, great deal on a very compact, well made piece of electronics.

In for 3! Thanks Woot!

Is there a programmable channel setting so 2 users can use them in the same vicinity, like 2 RC cars?

Looks like others have covered this pretty well but I have had some crappy mouses (mice, meese?) and they won't work on much else than a mouse pad. Very frustrating when you have other smooth surfaces (counter tops when I'm using my laptop to find recipes in the kitchen) or the arm of my recliner. It's worth making sure the mouse will work on a variety of surfaces unless you never leave a desk with a mouse pad.

I've had one for about a year now...no overheating problem, long battery life. Works great.

And as a result of that, plus a price that can't be beat...I'm in for 3!!

Thanks for throwing us a bone every once in a while Woot!!

I have two of these already and use them all the time. BluTrak is very stable on any surface and I can use this on an airplane. The small usb transmitter is out of the way and the single battery lasts for months.

I always keep a couple of these around the office, for when someone inevitably either breaks or loses the USB receiver. Great price to replace them at!

I've had two. The bad - both went into overheat mode fairly quickly (couple weeks). The good - they were replaced totally free of charge, no shipping either way (you must keep your receipt for this though). Paid $20 at Staples for mine.

All that said, $20 for three.....I'm in.

I received this mouse's predecessor as a birthday gift in 2005. After using it with my laptop for classes until I graduated in December of 2006, it became my main mouse for my desktop. Now that I have another laptop, it sticks with my laptop and travels with us in the bag. Let me say this - this mouse has outlasted at least 3 wired counterparts during that time, either due to defect or disaster (cat + wire = bad news) and I've only had to change the battery maybe once a year, if that.

If this newer version is anything like the one I own, you'll love it to pieces. I'd buy a new one, but why? The one I have is still going strong.

Just a note to thank the fabulous Woot community. I've been wanting to switch from my little laptop mouse with its retractable cord to a cordless one, but I hate, hate, hate the feeling of being ripped off when I spend even $5 on something that turns out to be garbage (as my last cordless mouse was, since it ate through batteries at a disgusting rate).

SO I'm in for two of these, because you folks made it just that easy to know I'll be satisfied, if not downright delighted, with them. Now to decide how to use the extra button...

I cannot seem to purchase this item. I bought 3 mice but the page will never load. When i go to my account after closing out explorer and logging back on, Woot shows i did not purchase them under "My account". So i try to purchase them again and it says i have already purchase this. This has never happened before, what is up?

Tried to order three of these (one of each color other than white) -- it's been at the "your order is processing" screen for nearly an hour. (Tried manually refreshing it several times to no avail.) The order does not show up on the main account page, and when I tried to start over and order it from a clean start, it says this item has already been purchased.

I would be all over this if it was a Bluetooth mouse. I just don't see the point in having to use a USB transceiver when most laptops have Bluetooth built-in.

I have the Microsoft Bluetooth mouse and I don't like it. It drops and I have to reestablish the pair often. It happens both on my Windows 7 box and my Mac. Also I need to do this when I switch between the 2. Its a real pain. With just a dongle you can swap quick and easy.

These are great. I have 3 of them, and never broken a USB dongle-and they are used on laptops that move around every day. I do remember to turn it off, but it is quick and easy. Never had one fail. Highly recommended to buy as a back up. I also use the 6000, but this is a good one too. I'm in for 2.

I went in for two and plan on using a 6-inch USB extender to avoid any reception problems or melting.

However, my order will not finish confirming! I'm pretty sure it's been close to 30 minutes now I've been waiting.

Yeah, the "order is processing" thingy has been spinning for me for about half an hour. I've tried manual refreshes a few times, to no avail.

I guess it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if Woot kept me from spending $20... but I'm pretty sure that's not the point. :p

mINE is stuck too, check under My Account, not showing, so tried to order in another tab(kept the original order processing tab open). Said it was out of the blue ones, selected another color and when tired to order it said I have already ordered under this account, so I'm thinking mine went thru.

I love this mouse - it's been a good two years now. The rubber covering the center wheel did break off recently, but I use it all of the time. The battery lasts forever, and I just switch it out with another rechargeable when it blinks red. A very solid buy, at this price.

It has a three year warranty. Call MS and get a new one. the number is all over amazon reviews for the 4000 series.
