I get the popping noise too, but only after an hour of play and when I venture far from the transmitter. No loss in level of volume.

Let me know if you experience any issues. Mine didn't happen for a few days.

How loud is your max volume? Would you even be able to wear your headphones if they were at 100% volume? My answer used to be no, but now it's a yes.

Do you have Dolby Pro Logic II enabled on the transmitting unit? If so, then turn it off so it will play at a louder volume.

Anyone that has received theirs from the East Coast? According to Fedex tracking mine has been sitting in Cali for a week. I really hope mine is functional and has everything with itbecause I don't want to deal with any bull.

Mine says it left Bloomington, CA on the 11th at around 9am. It used to say "Next update expected 11/13" but now that's disappeared (there was no update on the 13th).

Are the people with smelly/missing parts getting any response from Turtle Beach or Woot? I hope mine is all there.

Still waiting to get mine (NYC.) Expected delivery date in the 16th but as of 11/11 @ 12am it was is still in Bloomington, CA. Fingers crossed!

Here's to not receiving smelly parts or missing wires!

Gotta say I'm a bit disappointed. Ordered my share of refurbs before, and I know they're refurbs but I expect them to at least come in a decent box. These just had a piece of bubble wrap around them and they were thrown in the shipping box. Had planned on giving these to my kid for christmas but I guess I'll just give them to him now. No way to give this crappy looking package as a gift without feeling like a bum.

I don't care about smelly parts so much, I'll just spray it.. I justwant everything with it.

I called Fedex and they said that since it was ground shipping there is no tracking and to expect it no later than the posted delivery date.

Strange...I was able to track mine the whole way with the tracking number provided by the woot tracking bot email. And I track ground packages all the time. No tracking because it's ground is an awfully wheat grass excuse from fedex (and one they've never even tried with me).

Got mine today. Everything seemed ok minus a little scratch in the leather on the top of the headband.

I tried them over lunch (connected to Analog) and I get a constant hiss through the headphones. Not loud, but definetley annoying. I'm going to try hooking them up to the TV via Digital to see if that makes a difference. Fingers crossed.

Mine arrived today as well and everything seemed perfect. The ear cushions even had a "new plasticy" smell to them, so definitely not used.

I was one of the individuals that was replacing my old x31 unit, and holy cow it is quite an upgrade. I'm definitely pleased with my purchase!

Ack! Sorry about that. Please email us at service@woot.com and we can help you out.

Unfortunately, the world will just have to wait to hear you scream "starving pilgrim" and "PWND".

This is the first time using Woot. Heard about this awesome X41 deal on this website that I've never ever used. I'm an avid Amazon user and support & believe in Online Shopping and its convenience & safety. I got the package today. Missing everything that makes the 2 components that were in the box usable. No cables, no mic, no invoice of package contents. What gives? And do you even give a woot!?!?!?!

I'm missing everything except for the Headset, Transmitter, and User Guide (which explained to me that I was not crazy, and that everything that did arrive was useless, save the User Guide which told me again that I was not crazy, and that everything that did arrive was useless, save the User Guide which told me again that I was not crazy...).

Ah-ha... I now feel a little bit better as I too was saddened to be missing EVERYTHING important. But you see unlike you... I GOT the user guide (which told me only that I was missing EVERYTHING important).

I guess I was lucky this time as mine came with all the accessories. It also looked/smelled brand new. I live on the east coast and received today (15th).

Concerning the hissing: the X41s have that problem so I assume that's why there were so many refurbs to sell. As long as something is playing you don't hear it but in dead silence it's rather annoying. It bothered me enough to return them when I paid full price, it doesn't when I got them half off from Woot.

BTW, the next level up, PX5, eliminates the hissing but sells for over $200.

I'm sorry there is a problem with your product. Please keep in mind that we don't refurbish or package the product. We will however, assist you however we can. Please email service@woot.com and tell them what you are missing from your product.

Again, apologies for the problems you experienced with the product.

I'm tracking mine as it moves along the East Coast. I guess it was just in transit from CA to NJ before hitting up NY. Hopefully my package has all the right stuff.

Does anybody have any experience with the Woot customer service? I heard TB's is pretty bad, but hopefully Woot's won't be as terrible.

Received mine today and the headset works great as far as sound goes. However the Mic seems to not be picking up any sound at all. I have tried everything I can think of but still will not pick up anything.

Received mine today. Came with everything it was suppose to. The problem with mine is there is something wrong with the auto shut off feature. The headset turns itself off every 5 minutes even in the middle of MW3 battles with tons of sounds and teammates screaming in my ear. Replaced the batteries 3 time. No luck. Emailing service@woot.com now

Thank you for your reply. I was hoping that there were real people paying attention to the discussion board. I had contacted Service@woot.com yesterday. It says 24 hours or more when busy; still patiently waiting, but thanks again for your correspondence.

Got mine yesterday, and even though I've only used them for about 45 mins, they're amazing. I'm really happy with them. They look brand new, except for missing the real packaging. I guess I was fortunate to get all the cables and have new components that work. I got mine on time too and was able to track it the whole way.

They're really light and comfortable on my head, and the mike seems to pick everything up great.

The sound and range of these is really stellar. I'm glad I popped for these instead of the x31's I had on order at amazon. The 50 mm speakers vs the 40's really improve the sound.

Thanks Woot!

I believe it has to hear YOUR voice to prevent the auto-off feature from kicking in.

And did you just ask yourself for an update...?

Nope, my unit switches to Dolby Digital when my XBOX is turned on, as it should. I tried both modes, no dice. I think my head unit is defective. The service person at Turtle Beach seems to agree.

I'll have to contact Woot...not sure I even want to attempt getting it replaced since half the people here seem to be getting either DOA products or incomplete packages..

Thanks for the heads up. Just wanted to get instant feedback versus a truly 24-hour wait before getting an email (with all the info that I sent to service@woot.com) addressing me with someone else's name about my problem and the remedy. Bottom line, I'm still trying to get used to Woot (seeing as it has been around for some time now and established itself) while hoping for the best that my first experience with Woot won't be my last. I got this one Woot. Friend, you are in the high percentile of "Unluckies" who saw a great thing that could be possibly paired with one of the greatest gaming franchises only to be disappointed... waiting for a box of nothing.

Short answer: Email 'service@woot.com' and explain your dilemma. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

I initially had this problem too. Looked everywhere for a good support site, found this:

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=255121

Really goes for everyone.

With respect to the pairing issue, I left both the headset and the transmitter off, moved it away from my 360 and TV into the middle of my room, gave it another shot with absolutely nothing around it, and it finally decided to work.

Good luck to the rest of the guys/gals here.
