ARGH. My Roku is now on its way to Jersey City, in accordance with the "spiral endlessly around the delivery location" shipping rules. I suspect Pittsburgh will be next.

With all the design and marketing money spent by so many set top box vendors, it's amazing how immature the consumer technology still Is.

I would be happy to pay $1,000 for an HDTV with DLNA, Web streaming access and a useable menu, but I can't find one.

Not completely true. Theres a few 3rd party channels that stream from your iTunes/Videos to Roku. The only drawback is, that you have to convert every video you want to play which is a real pain.

Having problems with mine too. Plugged in and it keeps saying can't connect to Roku network. It hasn't even let me set up the internet connection...

My roku came yesterday and had the exact same "roku server" issue. Take a paper clip to the small reset button in the back and hold for 15 seconds..NO LESS. First time I only held it for about 10 seconds and it only did a "soft" reboot. Went back and held for a full 15 count and it started and found the wireless with no other issues.

Thanks @cdavis5000 that worked for me. I tried that originally but when I pushed the clip in it would start displaying on screen after about 5 seconds so I figured "why keep holding the button?" This time I just kept holding the clip in and it worked perfectly!

Thanks again!

After contacting Roku's customer service, they asked me to mail back the ROku and Im still waiting for the replacement part. This was my first woot order and I am not a happy camper. I find it unbelievably hard to believe than in this day and age, a company will make you pay for the cost of shipping while they shipped a faulty item to you. Why do I have to be penalized by paying an extra $10 for shipping if it's not my fault that I received a faulty item? This is crazy!!! aND When I contacted woot's customer service about the issue, they referred me to their T&Cs on their page that says that customers are supposed to pay for shipping to return products. No explanation, no nothing, just a link, like yeh go read this! I would rather pay the extra money to have piece of mind, and a decent customer service than get a deal from a company that would leave me hanging if I get a faulty item Just because you have it in writing, doesn't make it right. I have been very dissatisfied with how my first purchase was handled and like they say first impressions are very important and sometimes that's all you get. DOn't know if anyone will be reading this, but just wanted to share how i felt. Thanks.

Received the Roku, but didn't get a chance to open it until last night. the batteries inside the bag with the remote are totally corroded. Not sure I even want to stick my hand in there to touch anything. I haven't yet hooked the box up to see if it's working, because I'm still trying to get past the whole battery leakage thing.

Received my Roku a couple weeks ago the RCA jack didn't work on it.
While trying to get it to work I switched out to a known "working" RCA cable and plugged into a known "working" jack on my TV and no go.
Went out bought a HDMI cable, that jack worked fortunately.
So I am able to use it.

I know HDMI is a better picture but whats the deal did someone not refurbish the refurbished Roku's that were being sold here ?

Got my Roku yesterday but I couldn't get it to connect to our network using the wired or wireless connection. I'll try the hard reset button when I get home.

4 or 5 reports of non-working units out of the thousands sold isn't very significant. Definitely annoying for those 5 people, of course!

Of the three Roku XD players I bought, only 2 are working. One of them did not power up. How do I get it replaced / refunded?

Anyone having trouble with the Roku XD purchased through Woot? My unit seems to be connecting to the TV, but does not give me a setup option for my internet connection. Then I get an error message because it will not connect to the Roku server.

Received the Roku before Christmas but didn't have time to set it up until after the holidays. Opened the box to set it up for my kids and got to the setup screen, but nothing happened when pressing the "OK" button on the remote. Tried removing all IR interference to no avail.

Went to the store and purchased a universal remote and attempted to synch it up to see if it's the remote that's the problem, but the Roku doesn't seem to respond to either the remote it came with or the universal.

Will contact Woot customer service first, then Roku to see if I can get a replacement as it appears that it's the IR sensor on the Roku unit that's not working. Because of the lack of buttons on the Roku itself, it won't work at all without the remote.

Are you having issues with Roku support or Woot? I see that you emailed in and we replied. Hopefully we can get you taken care of.
