Found an actual online review via Buzzilions.
http://www.buzzillions.com/reviews/unisex-leatherman-freestyle-cx-multi-tool-reviews

I do a daily woot blog where I talk about the woot, link to CSEs, find reviews, etc. A few people have told me it's useful. Google "useful linkage" and there it is.

Great price on an invaluable tool for anglers. Bass are very impressed when hooks are removed with such a good-looking piece of equipment.

So is it a good deal ? I had a Columbia River Zilla tool and loved it. Lost it after 5 years. Need another one

My dad has one of these and loves it! He brings it when he goes fishing because it's very lightweight.

An awesome deal considering that Amazon has it for $41+. At $16, Woot has it for more than half off!

Bought this at Wal-Mart 2 years ago for $30. Specifically bought because my college prohibits blades greater than 2 1/2", so this fit perfectly.

just bought 3, the leatherman line has served my entire family of hunters/fishers well over the years, keeping one for myself and gifting the other 2, just in time for the holidays!

My son was born on November 15th! Woopaa!

Very sweet deal... I have the Skeletool and several Juice knives. In for a couple! I highly recommend the Leatherman tools over Gerber and other wannabe brands.

I'm putting one of these in the trunk of each of my cars as an addition to the factory tool kit. Great to have in an emergency

I have the fancier version of this, the skeletool with the screwdriver bits. I can definitely vouch for the high quality blade and the overall craftsmanship of their tools. I won't leave the house without my wallet, keys, cellphone, and leatherman tool.

i have this one and it has worked flawlessly for a couple years.

it has taken a lot of abuse at work and out saltwater fishing. the knife is sharp and locks nicely and the pliers are also very well made. great tool to keep around the house, in the car, tackle box, etc.

great gift that anyone or just to hog for yourself!!!!!!

I have the Skeletool version. It's a really great tool, except the Freestyle version lacks the convenient bottle-opener.

I have been the satisfied owner of a Leatherman Juice for years. I don't own a Freestyle CX. Here's a review from a guy that owns one:

Leatherman without a doubt is a good company with good warranties. I own two of their multi-tools and a flashlight. I also got this very tool here with another flashlight for my son last summer. They are all high quality and durable. I took my Wave in after several years of daily use to their store to get a broken tiny screwdriver fixed, and got it back nearly brand new. I've now owned the Wave for over 10 years and only had to take it in that one time. So far my son's Freestyle has held up as expected, the blade is still extremely sharp, even after multiple camping trips and sharpening countless sticks....

I certainly recommend this tool to anyone who doesn't need the whole tool package, or as a stocking stuffer.

The wife and I bought two of these earlier in the week for $4 more each. They've yet to ship. Hope Woot refunds us the diff.
The deal was one of those "unlisted" Woot deals.

hooray beer!

I also have the Skeletool CX, and it never leaves my side. I find myself requiring the services of the screwdriver bits and bottle opener (mmmm beeeeer) quite frequently, so this slimmed down version (also sans pocket clip) wouldn't really do for me, but if you're looking to replace a standard pocket knife with one that looks cool and has more functionality with the pliers, or as a stocking stuffer or reasonably priced gift, this looks like a real winner. I'm really thinking of buying one for my brother. My dad and I just use cheap needlenose pliers when we're fishing (like we did today and last Sunday) because 1) they're longer and when the fish swallows the darn lure, you really need that extra length with the bass we fish for, and 2) generic cheapo needlenose pliers that get tossed around and out of the boat won't make you sad when they get grody, rusty, or lost. This tool is too nice to subject to life as a fish-lure-extractor, IMHO, but it would do a fine job, especially for smaller fish that you don't have to dig 4" deep into their gut to get a lure out.

This seems to be better than the Skeletool, at least from what I can see on the website.

Is that true?

I've always liked and trusted Leatherman tools, they have great quality and the blades are always sharp. They use very good quality metals and they always look 'sharp' clipped to a workbelt!

Skeletool appeals to me more because of it has a screwdriver attachment and a bottle opener built into the clip

This is truly an excellent tool at an excellent price. I was so impressed with it a year ago I gave one to everyone in my (small) company. Everyone should carry a knife. In for another three.

I also have the Skeletool version and like it very much. However, the only extra benefit it has is the screwdriver (and bottle opener I have never used). The Skeletool sells for more than twice this Woot. Buy this deal, you won't regret it.

Perfect timing, Woot. In for three. Christmas gifts for Dad and brother, and keeping one for myself.

I've been a Leatherman loyalist for many years. Can't beat the quality and utility. Happy to add the Freestyle CX to my Every Day Carry.

Oh, this is missing both the bottle opener AND the screw driver. Total fail. Get a skeletool, it's worth it.

Bought this because of all the great things I've heard about Leatherman over the years, but I've never been willing to spend 40+ dollars on a pocket knife.

Right now I carry a 2oz pocket knife and it's so light I can't tell it's in my pocket. I've also got a 9oz Gerber multitool but it's so heavy that I just leave it in my car. Hopefully this will be a good compromise between them.

My only hope is that the black paint won't come off this if I keep it in the same pocket as my keys.
