I wasn't PLANNING on buying some, but the caption was just so demanding. I now must not only buy, but consume. That's gonna hurt coming out.

I think there might be a point where it's loose enough to drink around, but it's also loose enough to fall off in your face.

So consider it a 16 oz. thermos.

The picture shows a sippy opening though. Sure it's the same one?

I have one from walmart. Doesn't really keep drinks hot for too long, but it's really nice how the top seals up so tightly that you can literally throw it in your backpack like a thermos. Though I gotta say, with shipping included, this is not a good price at all.

Yeah, I made that mistake once. Plasticky coffee isn't so great.

Actually, my big issue with this is coffee-y plastic. It starts to smell after a while and no amount of cleaning will make it stop smelling. It's a cheap deal, but I'm passing this time.

(Not sure why the Quote BBCode isn't working for me...)

Did you try soaking that coffee-infused plastic with baking soda and water overnight? I'd give it a try before I threw it away. :-)

In for 3 pair. Thanks woot, now I'm all set for coworker Christmas gifts. These can't leak any more than all my other travel mugs and seem to have the possibility to excel.

I bought one of these about a year ago and paid $15.99 for 1. It is the best travel mug I have ever owned-it does not leak-period. I put in my cream and splenda, tighten it down and shake it up to mix. No spillage! Fits perfect in my cup holder in my car--doesn't fall out or tip over. Cannot say enough good things about this one, seriously awesome product!

How are we defining "leakproof" here? As in "the seams where the sides of the cup meet the bottom won't leak" --or-- "if you put the lid on properly you can toss the sucker into a gym bag and let it roll around and turn upside-down with impunity?"

If it's bike cage compatible (second to last feature) it's about 2.75 inches in diameter...Pi * diameter = 8.6" circumference

w00t has been coming through this holiday season with great deals. i got the little knife today they were selling last week and its fantastic. and the gloves that came recently were factory tagged $18 a pair. i paid $10 for both pair, shipped. can't beat deals like that with a stick

Well, it's supposed to be dishwater safe so it should stand up to very hot water. As for plastic and taste - my coffee grinds in my coffee maker sit in it and the hot water passes through a lot of plastic parts to get to the grinds. Thinkgeek.com has an all ss (except for top cover)mug for $10 and it's tapered at the bottom to easily fit in cup holders. http://www.thinkgeek.com/homeoffice/mugs/3820/?srp=12

I have four of these from Wal-Mart. As long as the silicon rubber gasket is intact and you tighten the screw-top lid enough - you can toss these into a gym bag upside down.

In for 3 sets (makes me feel better about shipping). Good gifts for the family, we'll all die from plastic poisoning, and from dementia from using antiperspirant, not wearing facemasks while fueling, me from smoking and probably in contact with radon gas, oh yeah and sweet-n-low.

The only potential issue I see will be fitting these things under the tassimo brew spigot. Maybe Im wrong, but I dont have high hopes in this regard. Maybe someone has one or can reference max cup size sans drip tray. Hard being overseas with a "1mbps" connection with super high latency!

You can drink from them with the lid on - it is designed to do that. If you partially unscrew the lid, liquid will pour out while the screw threads hold the lid in place.

Bought my four at Wal-Mart for around $8.00 each (without the handle).

The main problems with these mugs are poor thermal insulation and outside diameter. Piping hot coffee will be lukewarm in about one hour. The diameter is too large for some vehicles with nonadjustable small/medium sized cup holders.

3.00 inches - outside diameter, top (plastic)
8.00 inches - height

I have been using Contigo AutoSeal mugs, 2 for $20 in Costco, stainless steel outside and inside, just the top is plastic. Mine has been dropped, dented, paints came off.. and it is still leaked proof, good in the car and in my backpack.

Most important thing is.. keep drinks hot/warm for hours.

Their new models comes with rubber foot, so that paints will not get scratched off.

Maxim magazine did a tests on all these mugs:

The Maxim tests that pkphilip refers to are pretty cool,
and confirm the all-round awesomeness of Contigo mugs...
I bet I've given 10 of them as gifts, after my own great
experience with them at home, work and camping.

Unfortunately the Maxim experiments didn't include THIS
mug. But I've had other Stanleys (like the 'bolt' which kept
coffee pretty hot, but was top-heavy and leaky...two things
this Stanley doesn't appear to be).

If you bought 6, they'd be $5 bucks per, vs. the $10
bucks per on the Costco Contigo 2-packs...which are
a sure thing. Tough call.

The only thing I don't like here is "lid colors will be randomly selected". --Woot should make sure that everyone (this is a deal for two) gets one grey and one green. That way if you use one for coffee and one for cold, you'd always know which is which. No point in getting two of the same color. Woot should make the effort to send one of each per the twofer.

In case someone reads this, I'm still getting the blue and gray screen with "Congratulations," and "Your first AWS elastic beanstalk."

Here's what's on the lower part of the gray area on the page I'm seeing. These are all clickable links.

The plastic resin in Stanley mugs and lids (exact same as these, but without the handle) is polypropylene (PP #5):

The first thing going through my mind is a possible virus or spyware that's wreaking havoc on your browser, directing you to that site, but the companylooks legit--try antivirus scan. The second thing is to try another browser, such as firefox or google's and see if you get the same result. If so, the problem is likely not Opera's fault in itself. Others with far more knowledge will contribute later this morning, I would think.

Does anyone know if the lid can be screwed on to make the handle right or left handed depending on one's preference? In the car I pick up my drinks and sip using the right hand. I don't want to have to switch to the left hand to drink and then back to the right to put it back in the cup-holder.

Try Polident Overnight Whitening tablets.
Drop one in the cup with HOT water and leave overnight. You will be shocked at how much gunk comes off with these.
Depending on the gunk level you may need two tabs or two application of it.
