Thanks LEM. It's good to see the old-timers like you and mikebbass are still around still giving their two cents. Between NightGhost and TPW leaving this past year, it seem the woot! veterans are becoming slim in the ranks.

I like my BBQ done a bit differently, but I am appreciative of the sentiment.

Question:
Does the word 'BBQ' describe the appliance on which you cook, or the food that is produced on said appliance?

BBQ is the end product. I personally use a slow cooker for my meaty goodness.
As for my version of BBQ, it is similar to this, with an appropriate slaw side.
Cornbread is always appropriate.

No more calls...We have a winner!
The term 'BBQ' is not a verb, and it does not describe anything you cannot eat. I like ALL kinds of BBQ, but have a special love for my native NC, pulled pork, hickory smoked variety. Give me a washtub full of icy cold bottled beer, a cool spring evening, and a whole pig smoking in a pig cooker, add some slaw, hush puppies, boiled potatoes and a good bluegrass band, and I'm in HOG HEAVEN.
